Arrogant and Biased
Dr. Shams was my doctor when I was admitted to the hospital for a Sickle Cell crisis. He came in and quickly wanted to under-prescribe me. As I tried to advocate for what works best, he turned his back and began talking to the nurse in the middle of my sentence. I had to alert him that I was not done talking. As I tried to continue, he cut me off to tell me that he is going to go with what he wants to do. After talking to the charge nurse, they brought him back to my room to reopen the conversation. I told him that I was apprehensive with him being my doctor and I didn't trust that he was going to make unbiased decisions. He rolled his eyes, refused to apologize for making me feel dismissed, and not heard. He doubled down on his actions and said, 'do you want to keep talking about how bad of a person I am or know how to get a new doctor'. The nurses looked at me shockingly and apologized for his behaviors. He is defensive, arrogant, entitled, and his ego spews from his pores.

Awful
Spent 5 mins with family member. Pervious doctors for many days wanted to keep family member until they say improvement. Unfortunately rotation changed after 6 days so on his first day, really, first minute on the case, he discharged with no improvement from admission. No diet instructions were included, no instructions, basically just discharged with no explanation. Ego complex.
