Not a good PCP
Rude, condescending, makes you get labs for every single visit even if you do not have meds or conditions that need to be monitored via labwork. Does not listen, looks at his charts.

I was a patient of his for over 20 years. When I went to him complaining of pain in 1997, he ignored me. My ob/gyn is the one who finally saved me from the pain I was in. When I went to him years ago about pain in my neck, he sent me to a neurologist who said I was too young for surgery, deal with it. I lived with my problems until I couldn't. I went back to shaikh. He said "what do you want me to do about it." Mind you, in the meantime, he broke HIPPA laws repeatedly by speaking to my family members who work in health care about me. I'm now seeing a pain clinic, neurologist and spine surgeon. All within a few months with my new doctor.

I was just in this office with my husband on 1/10/18 I wouldn't refer anyone to his office he's a very rude doctor, I was trying to explain to him the symptoms I saw that my husband was having He cut me off from speaking, Every time I would try to say something he would rudely interrupt me and talk over. I see with Dr. Shaikh he really made me feel like since I'm a woman, to be seen and not heard I believe it must be a cultural thing, But I would never go back to see him ever again

Dr. Shaikh was assigned to "attend" to my mother who is in a nursing home. He is not a hands-on doctor. His rounds at the nursing home consist of him coming in late at night to flip through patient charts. My mother receives better care when she ends up in the hospital due to his neglect and minimal interventions. I recently fired him from treating her. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. SHAIKH!!
