Medical care blunder
March 2024 Dr Rauther and the Boston scientific rep conducted a failed spinal stimulator surgery. Used extremely poor judgment after breaking the first stimulator off in my spine chose to place a second one without permission worst care and experience I have ever had. Has cause increased pain in the thoracic spine where it was broke off plus when they turned on the stimulator the broken piece was picking up signal and sending into undesired places. She even said what do I do now to the rep. This shows lack of experience and training for unplanned complications. Carle hospital and Dr rauther made me feel like all they cared about was getting paid for a failed surgery. Didn’t try to comfort me or find other mean of treatment just pushed narcotics Highly recommend looking else where for care especially for spinal stimulator.

First Rate Doctor
Dr. Rauther took the time to evaluate my pain and pinpoint its possible sources. She explained the complex subject of my back pain in terms that I could understand. She laid out a proposed course of treatment and explained the reasons for each step. Then her assistant reiterated the process, detailing what it would require of me.Both Dr. Rauther and her assistant were personable and understanding.

Left office feeling suicidal
She entered, having never looked at my chart, refused to help in any fashion and made the whole interaction traumatic. I've never felt so filthy and judged as I did with this "doctor". She's the worst, do NOT go to her if you have ANY mental health problems. Cold, apathetic and uncaring, I'm amazed she's allowed to talk to patients at all.

Dr Rauther has been the most understanding, helpful and appreciated doctor I’ve had in my 40 years of using Carle doctors!!! Without her care I would still be a hobbled old mon on crutches or a cane!! She has assisted me in being able to enjoy my retirement!! She’s my Angel forevermore!!!

Horrible doctor! Looked at the chart and diagnosed as smoking and alcohol use was all my problems. That it had nothing to do with the type of work I had done all my life. Hate her and will never return or recommend her.

She's a pain doctor because she keeps you in pain. If she would have ordered an MRI rather than keeping me on pain killers, she may have noticed the spinal tumor way before it was finally diagnosed by some one else. (I only gave it 1 star rating because you forced me to in order to submit this....wanted it to be zero.)

She was absolutely horrible, she basically called me a liar, said my swelling wasn't bad enough and i couldn't possibly be in as much pain as i said i was and contradicted a diagnoses that has been confirmed my three other doctors already.

She is great her staff is great they are always nice to me and by the time I’m braced for giant shot in hip held togeather by metal she’s already done I give gold stars all the way around she has helped me more than I ever thought or was told I could get ever. But I gave her a try and have been happy with her and her staff ever since. I’ve benifited from seeing her for years and I’m still up and around moving living being a grandma of twins and being able to do it with her help. She is a doll

she knows her stuff but her "bedside manner" is sometimes abrupt and gives the appearance she does not care.

This doctor does not care about the patient, she only cares about her magical formula for what should work because it did for other people. She is not compassionate and minimizes a patient's pain if they don't fit into her box of where/how it should hurt. Do not go to her.
