He answered all of my questions and explained things in a way I understood. He seemed kind and very knowledgeable and I will immediately think of him for any future GI needs.

I normally do not give feedback but in this case I must. My dealings with Dr Mumtaz and his office was the worst care I have ever received in my lifetime. The ability to get an appointment, follow through after a procedure and/test, patient communication, giving helpful advise and feedback, providing direction and overall patient care was terrible. The only time I was able to talk to the doctor was by phone after a long period of tests, procedures and communication. By the way, I cannot comment on office cleanliness because I could not get an in person appointment. Terrible.

I saw dr Mumtaz after an episode with diverticulitis. After having to wait several weeks to even be seen his response was he saw some slight inflammation but didn’t seem to be concerned. No further follow up was suggested. Had a second flare up of diverticulitis. Told to call get first available after CT scan showed acute issues. Nursing staff was extremely rude and extremely short on the phone and offered an appt 3 months out. When I expressed concern that the issue would either be gone or much worse before treatment could be given she simply said do you want the appt or not. Then reached out to dr via MyChart. They called me back three days later asking what I needed(read the MyChart message!). I explained what my concerns were and she told me she would speak with dr. And get back to me with two business days. I’m stuck since this is a Dr who I have already seen. To now get a new one would mean an even longer wait. If I could I would not have gone with Dr and this office

This doctor is terrible. Appointment was at 1.15 pm, ended at 1.38 pm and his office billed me for 60 minutes. Upon checking, the billing code he used is for issues of "moderate to high severity" (Level 4 out of 5) when it was just a simple issue that affects more than half of the population. The treatment he prescribed didn't even work. I would not recommend him to anyone.

He’s horrible, run from him. Unprofessional in office after waiting an hour after scheduled time. He’s at least an hour late for any procedures, so find someone else. Nurse told me” he tends to usually run behind”.... wonderful
