Dr. Shahbaaz Sabri, MD

Dr. Sabri took his time to listen to my concerns and addressed them accordingly. He is very personable and knowledgeable.

When I met with Dr Sabri I was at a pain level 10. He took x-rays and said that I needed surgery on some herniated discs. He then sent me to get an epidural to get me some pain relief. To get the epidural which required an MRI. When the MI results came back, he then CALLED me to tell me there is 'nothing he can do for me.' On the call he was cold, stated he couldn't do a thing to help me.I went to a chiropractor who was a godsend. She took x-rays and determined there was an issue with a floating piece of bone that should be addressed by a surgeon. She made a referral to an absolutely awesome surgeon who immediately saw the issue in the MRI. He got the radiologist report updated with the new information and set me up for surgery. After the surgery I was pain free.Find a surgeon who knows what he's doing.

Very personable, caring and kind hearted. Very knowledgeable and explained everything well, so I could further understand my care. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an orthopedic spine doc!

Has a God complex. Plus, you'll get to wait 45 minutes past your appointment time to hear him pontificate!!!

That's a bad combo in anyone, least of all your ortho person. Doesn't listen. Exudes a smarmy "I know best" false confidence. Consistently runs late for appointments. Too young to know any better so mistakes will be made and those mistakes will cost you time, money and additional suffering.

Dr. Sabri gave me my life back. I severely injured my back in December of 2020, resulting in a massive herniation at L1-L2. I was in severe pain for weeks with no relief. It felt like I was being electrocuted on my left leg (sciatica) along with severe back pain (although leg pain was worse than the back pain). In Feb of 2021, Dr. Sabri performed 2 microdiscectomies and a laminectomy at L1-L2. When I woke up from the surgery, I was so relieved that I could move my left leg and didn't have severe sciatica anymore. That gave me hope that one day I would recover. Prior to my surgery, I could not walk more than a few feet without crutches and spent nearly 24 hours per day on my back. After the surgery, I am a million times better and am living my life without sciatica. I got back to doing the things I was doing before my injury. I can't thank Dr. Sabri and the great staff at the Longmont hospital enough. They gave me back my life.

Dr. Sabri was very well with his listening and explanation skills. With such a delicate surgery after our office visit was convinced Dr. Sabri gained my trust as a experienced surgeon. From pre-op to after care he was very polite explaining all to my wife and self. Hours after surgery by drop foot was gone and felt great. Gained full feeling, movement and use on spine and nerves. I did and would trust my future health with DR. Sabri.

I was referred to Dr. Sabri, knowing I had a pinched nerve in my L2/3. A steroid shot helped but I was in still considerable pain. I was told I would most likely need surgery. Dr. Sabri, the staff and nurses were all very friendly and helpful. Dr. Sabri, really took his time to explain my condition with me as well as my treatment options. After waiting to see if my back would heal on it’s own, he helped me understand why surgery was needed. He went through the whole procedure with a vertebrae model, so I knew exactly what he was going to do. Even on a second visit he took time to repeat and go over questions we had which made me very comfortable. I never felt rushed, and he always asked if I had any other questions. Prepped for surgery, everyone made me at ease, explained what they were doing and what was going to happen and after surgery Dr. Sabri, came in and talked to me how everything went before I was discharged. I was pain free after the surgery.

I experienced severe pain from mid back to my groin. Dr Sabri diagnosed aT-11 to T-12 issue with a bone spur penetrating the spinal fluid sac and impinging on the spinal column. He went to great lengths to explain and educate me on the problem and the solution. He has an excellent ability to help you understand the issues you are facing without being overbearing. Dr Sabri completed the surgery and followed up with me to assure my complete recovery. I am very pleased with the care Dr Sabri and his team provided. I highly recommend him.

I feel extremely fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Sabri for my back issue. He is very compassionate and listened carefully to my concerns. He is an excellent surgeon, and my entire experience from pre-op to post-op has been amazing, and I am now free of pain. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Sabri. He is absolutely wonderful!
