Thyroid/ Type 2 diabetic
I’ve never had a problem with either the office staff or Dr. Aziz. I see him every 4 months to check my progress & he orders labs for me each time before my next appointment. I’m glad he keeps up with my progress. As far as wait times, I’ve never waited for my consult more than 10 minutes. I’ve waited a couple of hours at my primary doctor’s office waiting to be seen so I’m glad that I don’t have that experience here. He always asks if I have any questions. I’m okay with referring him to someone.

No care for 20 year old thyroid cancer patient
After trying to explain each time we attempted to contact the office and lack of communication, Dr Aziz told my child to find another provider. Cancer is a scary diagnosis for anyone especially a 20 year old girl. Having to wait from 05/03 until now (07/17) to get treatment/care or an answer and not knowing if cancer has spread is unacceptable.

Dr. Shahid Aziz
I was referred to Dr. Aziz by my thyroid surgeon back in October 2018 by my thyroid surgeon who had removed my cancerous thyroid & part of my left vocal cord. Dr. Aziz was awesome in prescribing my thyroid replacement medicine, my radioactive iodine treatment, and continuing to see me twice a year to review my T4 and TSH. When I had a problem with my energy level, he looked at all my medicines and determined that my blood pressure medicine, prescribed by my general practitioner, was known to have fatigue as a side-effect. He gave me a prescription for another blood-pressure medicine immediately and notified my general practitioner. He's also had a calming, helpful presence when my Ha1c starting trending up. Through his patient protal system, Dr. Aziz quickly let me know that my Ha1c was age-related and not at a level of concern. He also gave me suggestions about how to lower my Ha1c. Dr. Aziz is an excellent endocrinologist, highly concerned about his patients, always available.

If I could leave zero stars I definitely would. Dr. Shahid Aziz is a horrible human being. He diagnosed me with cancer over a message on his Healow app because he was on vacation in India…strike 1. After diagnosis I was trying to receive treatment necessary to treating my cancer as fast as possible and Dr. Aziz demanded waiting until he returned from his vacation…strike 2. My cancer is more important than anyone’s vacation. After being unable to see the surgical ENT he requested me to see (because he’s out of network) Dr. Aziz all but stopped actively trying to treat me because I couldn’t go to his doctor of choice. I saw an equitable doctor, who suggested utilizing radioactive iodine to treat my cancer & sent report to Dr. Aziz. Since Dr. Aziz didn’t agree he told me to check my out of network benefits & get into his Dr…strike 3. I already explained I did not have out of network benefits to see that physician. Today, I reached out to another endocrinologist for a second opinion & aske

Terrible office experience. Super Rushed appointments! He stared at his laptop the entire appointment as he talked at 80mph just to get us out of the office quickly and collect his money. We couldn’t get a word in edge wise. He didn’t bother to explain any diagnosis or treatment options to us at all. Find another place to go friends!!

Been a patient for over 9 months and have yet to be diagnosed properly. Rushed visits, Aziz has no time to answer or listen to patient questions and concerns, and their billing dep. is ABYSMAL!! Saw Aziz in the hospital ICU but they billed the insurance erroneously as a regular office visit despite being told how to do so by the insurance company. Basically they’ve been holding this bill over my head. I Almost died in ICU but was literally laughed off by his billing/coding staff when the billing issues came up. Office staff is arrogant, annoyed, and full of attitude like you owe them something. 9 months, Aziz claimed me to be Type 1 but I’m not as my pancreas is actively producing insulin and glucose levels are too stable to be Type 1 as per his own lab work results. He Refuses to treat low testosterone despite blood work evidence. I wouldn’t recommend Aziz to my worst enemy! F Dr Aziz and everyone in his office.

Fed Up Patient – Sep 15, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Aziz?
I initially called this office a bit over 2 weeks ago and was met with the delight of “if we get your referral, we can actually get you an appointment in 2-3 days”. So I rushed my insurance+my primary care and got the referral done right away. I call back to inform them and this time, the girl that answers the phone sounds so clueless and confused regarding my previous conversation with them. She proceeds to tell me that the dr (that runs the place) isn’t coming into the office all week and he will be working from home. I “should call back once he decides what dr to place me with”. I call back a few days later and I’m met with more excuses and no answers. The girl had a lot of “ummm’s” and “uhhhh’s” and eventually tells me that it might take a few weeks? There’s something seriously wrong at this office. The staff is completely incompetent or all the doctors must be on vacation at the same time.

I am so sorry for above person as I also have severe adrenal insufficiency after adrenal failure. At first he seemed nice but as he got busier he seemed quite calloused and Dr. Aziz did not really seem to believe that I even have an adrenal issue because I was not getting better under his care and even getting worse, I had to stop work for a year. I found another endocrinologist from Harvard who told me to do the opposite of what Dr. Aziz was trying to get me to do. She quadrupled my dose of cortisol and I was finally able to get back to work. Also he never told me how to stress dose or that I should wear a medical alert which 2 other endocrinologists (the Harvard one retired) told me to do and that I need to carry an injectable Cortef in case of severe injury or illness such as flu etc. which is important information to help avoid having another adrenal crisis or dying quickly should these/when these things occur.

I have been a diabetic for 41 years. I am EXTREAMLY picky about my doctors as I have several medical issues. It took me a while but I finally found a great endocrinologist. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of having an endocrinologist, as I’ve never been happy with them in the past. However, Dr Aziz takes good care of me and listens to my concerns. He treats me for T1diabetes and Hoshimotos Thyroiditis. I highly recommend him.

As Dr Aziz patient, and been under his care for a while I would think he can offer attention to his patients when is needed. I had an eye opening when I realize he doesn't have 5 minutes out of his time to help a patient with some work related paperwork, then his practice brand is not caring about his patients. And been the case I dont need to be under his care. Very disappointed. I wont recomended to anyone.

Saw Dr. A for rapid weight gain over 8 months. He spent about 15 minutes with me, no bedside manner, and requested blood tests. Office gladly charged me. I had the tests drawn, but Dr. A never mentioned "before 9 am" - I luckily made it there at 8:50 am. He knew family history of thyroid conditions. Never heard back, so called office to get my results. Was told they were normal, with no need to return. Got copy of results myself, and I had high TPO levels: Hashimoto's Disease.

I saw Dr. Aziz for adrenal insufficiency. I was referred to him by my insurance. I came in with my medical file and labs that confirmed that I had adrenal insufficiency. He ran his own test and they came back confirming my diagnosis. But he decided it was not severe enough to cause my symptoms. So he didn’t give me medication to control it. My blood pressure was always low and I kept saying how sick I was feeling but I was always ignored. I believe he doesn’t have much knowledge on this disorder

Dr. Aziz is very knowledgeable about internal medicine. One of the things that I appreciate the most is his attentiveness and quickness in answering questions, no matter what day of the week it is. He also bends over backwards to make sure medications fit your budget, to the best of his ability. Through his help, I finally have control of my diabetes and PCOS.
