Great Doctor, Poor Practice
Dr. Jalali has been my pain management doctor for about 7 years. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and has been a great help in managing my chronic pain challenges. In short, I think he’s a great doctor. But the practice has been sold twice in the last several years and each change in management has resulted in ever increasing problems. Frequent turnover of office staff results in inexperienced, undertrained help; repeated requests for call backs to discuss issues are handled inappropriately or ignored; scheduling procedures is a nightmare as the call center staff do not follow through to contact patients; appointments scheduled with a doctor are rescheduled with a PA without patient consent. When I complained and requested to be contacted by management to discuss these concerns, I have been flat out ignored. It’s gotten to the point that despite my respect for Dr. Jalali’s professionalism and care, I am looking for a new practice for pain management.

More than 20 years as my pain physician
Dr. Jalali is a tremendous physician. I'm a RN with very high standards & Dr. Jalali is among the best. He encourages input & listens to what I'm saying. He verbalizes his thoughts & doesn't assume I know because I'm a nurse. He has earned my complete trust; he always delivers pain relief.Unfortunately, I've had several issues with some office staff. Using the portal was a waste of time; no one responded. Except for dr. Jalali's schedulers (Liz & melody), I've never had a call returned. Person taking the call is lovely to talk to, but there's a breakdown between my call & the return call. Relievus needs to work on a system of follow thru.

Highly recommend
I’ve known Dr Jalali for probably 15 or more years. I think he’s a great Dr, always listens, does his best to get your pain under control, comes up with a plan for challenging pain conditions . I’ve had great success with the various treatments and injections we have done. I’d highly recommend him.

Scheduling at Sewell office is a mess.
I wouldn't recommend Dr. Jalali because of his office staff. Specifically, the Sewell office. First, his staff was supposed to contact me to schedule a procedure. When they didn't, I left 3 messages over 3 weeks before someone called me back. They gave no explanation or apology for not returning my calls. After the procedure, I returned for a follow up visit. After waiting 45 minutes, I went to the desk and asked if Dr. Jalali was backed up. I was told that I was next. After waiting an hour, another staff member told me the doctor was backed up and asked if I wanted to see someone else. I eventually saw a NP informed me they were having scheduling problems. After my visit, I sent a message on the patient portal, but nobody bothered to reply.

Dr Jalali, was recommended to me by my friend who received treatment from Dr Jalali for her chronic back problems. He helped her tremendously. I am being treated by the doctor now. He sits and listens to you, you never feel you are on a time clock, to be rushed out. When my rheumatologist heard I had seen Dr Jalali, she told me her offices refers patients to him also. I have confidence in him and his approach to my treatment.

For 6 yrs no one could help me with my chronic pain due to two failed back surgeries 10 yrs ago. Dr Jalali performed my SCS surgery and it went well. It has given me part of my life back and we are working on getting the rest (i could not stand, walk or sit more then a few mins before the SCS surgery) He takes the time to listen and his knowledge has helped me to control my chronic pain. Thank you!!!!!

I have working with Dr. Jalali for a few months now. I would say in my short time working with him, Dr. Jalali has been great at asking me countless questions to find out where I am at with my illness and how it affects me. He seems to really care about what I say and not just listens to me; but, HEARS me.
