Dr. Shailesh Reddy, MD

I had a very upsetting experience during my EMG and nerve conduction test with Dr. Reddy. The procedure was far more painful than I had been prepared for, and I had to request a break due to how intense it became. Dr. Reddy had a very poor bedside manner: he barely communicated, and dismissed or ignored questions and concerns that my Mom and I had. To make matters worse, we were not informed beforehand that a trainee would be conducting the test. When we expressed discomfort about this, nothing was addressed or changed. The overall lack of transparency and empathy made an already difficult experience much worse.

Dr Reddy will only look at the notes from a previous doctor and not listen to one single thing you describe about your symptoms. Even after you tell him that past doctor did nothing to help you and didn’t listen to your symptoms. He will also yawn multiple times while you’re speaking (thinking you can’t tell through the mask) and certainly make you feel like your the last patient of the day. He will ignore any new symptoms you speak of if they aren’t written on your referral even though your referral is from a month ago and it’s very very very common for new symptoms to arise. If you’re a woman and express any type of symptoms related to your reproductive system he will ignore you and tell you to talk to your gyno about it. Please avoid this man unless you have very very very very very very very obvious symptoms and he can give you a diagnosis without having to do any research or ask any probing questions.
