Dr. Shane Drahos, MD

Unfortunately, Dr. Drahos does not listen to the patient. I gave him many examples of how I am sure that anxiety isn't my issue for lack of sleep yet he put me on one single anti-anxiety medication rather than a sleep medication and stated there were no other medications that I haven't been on previously that he is familiar with yet he graduated from Stanford.He or one of the PAs (no clue which) asks daily for side effects, but anytime a side effect is mentioned he claims it is not from the medication. I told him to the paper from the pharmacy says it is, so does FDA, Mayo Clinic, etc. He refuses to even supply me a link with a source that lists potential side effects of a medication. He claims a 45 year old needs only 5 to 7 hours of sleep.They have a texting system, but all 3 doctors (2 PAs) have access to it so it is impossible to know who actually replies.The only positive experience was the office clerk who was very outstanding at returning calls and was very cheerful.

Very knowledgeable. Dr. Drahos did not rush but spent time explaining my condition. He went overboard to review the results of my sleep study. He adjusted my CPAP machine. Together, we developed a treatment plan. He is friendly, kind, and extraordinary. It was a very satisfying visit. Beautiful office. Plenty of parking. Receptionist is wonderful too.

Anyone who gives this doctor less than 5 stars needs therapy more than a sleep doctor. This is one of the most genuine, knowledgeable physicians I've met in 40 years. Who took the time to know me, my lifestyle, issues and discuss the tests and remedies that will possibly fix things. He also gave deep explanation to causation so I would better understand my own needs.
