Dr. Shane Pahlavan, MD

I have not seen the doctor but I can say that the front desk and appointment scheduling department is awful. I had to call them four times to establish a sound communication. The last lady with whom I managed to talk about the details of my appointment was rude. She would't explain even basic details such as whether my insurance is covering the visit or not. She told me that it was my responsibility to call my insurance company and check if they cover. Eventually, I decided to not schedule the appointment.

His waiting area of his clinic in Allen is breeding ground for COVID. I surprised to see being him a doctor he has less care for patience, so many people waiting in waiting area as well as in walkway crowded. He did not appear to care for his patients that crowding in clinic will be a big problem during a COVID time.

My now 2 yr old (1 yr at the time) was so happy after her ear tube placement. No more oral antibiotics for ear infections. Only one ear infection in the last year. Good work by a good doctor.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pahlavan! He has been amazing with my son! Not only does he explain conditions/procedures to me, he even explains them to him and always makes him feel comfortable!

Dr. Pahlavan has been wonderful! He put tubes in our 3yr old daughters ears and everything has gone smooth. He checks them every 6 months. He has a great bedside manner. Explains things well, very friendly and good with kiddos! Highly recommend him!

Dr. Pahlavan is one of the best doctor's I've worked with. He is friendly, funny, and knows how to work with his patients. Everything he does is top notch. His office staff, nurses, and such are all great to work with and always treat you well.

Dr. Pahlavan is a great ENT. My entire family sees him and he works great with kids. We have a 3 year old and a 2 year old and he's doing surgeries for both as well as regular doctor visits. He's fantastic! Highly recommend.

Dr. Pahlavan is an exceptional doctor. He walked me through every step of my assessment and procedure beforehand and discussed all of my options openly and honestly. He is excellent at ensuring you understand and are comfortable with your treatment plan. I’m much happier and healthier after having seen him. I feel very fortunate to be under his care.

Dr. Pahlavan is amazing. Great bedside manner, efficient, to the point, uses common sense in addition to medical training. My 3 year old had chronic ear infections for the first 2 years of her life and underwent ear tubes and adenoid removal with him which was LIFE ALTERING! Was available if we had any issues. Office staff easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend him for any ENT issue.

I have been suffering for a long time with symptoms of hyperparathyroidism. When I was finally diagnosed, I despaired of ever finding a good doctor to do my surgery here. I asked my PCP and my Endocrinologist to find me a good surgeon who had done many of these surgeries. Dr. Pahlavan's name was the name that came up both times. Then, my daughter recalled having heard of his reputation as a great ENT and surgeon. I was sold and considered it an answer to prayer. I am now 3 weeks post-surgery and am thrilled with the results! I had virtually every symptom of this disease and today all of the symptoms are either completely gone or getting better day by day! I have joy and energy back and I am getting sleep again. Muscle and nerve pain, anxiety and depression no longer torment me. I cannot recommend Dr. Pahlavan enough. He is compassionate and instills confidence that you will feel better after surgery. I am back to myself again and can't thank him enough!!

I had a partial thyroidectomy. I had very little pain the night of the surgery, and no pain at all two days later. I'm healing very well. Dr. Pahlavan is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who needs surgery. And he's very personable, good bedside manner, which a lot of good surgeons don't have. I am so glad that I chose him to be my doctor and surgeon.

Incredibly nice man, but after having to see another ENT for an additional corrective sinus surgery, I can’t say that I would feel comfortable recommending this doctor.

i HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING DR. PAHLAVAN AT THE MCKINNEY OFFICE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS CHAIRSIDE MANNER AND EXPERTISE. HE MADE A VERY SCARY PROCEDURE COMFORTABLE BY EXPLAINING PROCEDURE STEP BY STEP. I WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND HIM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND EFFICIENT AND APPOINTMENT PROCEEDED IN A TIMELY MANNER. DR EXHIBITED INTEREST BY CONTACTING DOCTOR IN ANOTHER STATE REGARDING MEDICAL FINDINGS AND ASSURING WILLINGNESS TO ASSIST IN FUTURE AS NEEDED.

Dr Pahlavan is one heck of a doctor. Great bedside manner, fantastic with kids and is truly invested in his patients. Our eldest son needed tubes at 11 months and again at 5. You can't go wrong with Dr P.

Dr. Pahlavan is an extremely good doctor. He's intelligent and makes the patient feel at ease. Great bedside manners.

Dr. Pahlavan is a wonderful doctor. He is very personable which makes it easy to be comfortable with him. He did an incredible job on my thyroid surgery...the scar is barely noticeable! I would recommend Dr. P to anyone looking for an ENT!
