Eye surgery
Dr Cox is very confident and gave me the confidence to proceed with the eye surgery. I had great results and his office staff is very nice and efficient. Would highly recommend without hesitation.

Honesty and Integrity: Really!
Met with Dr. Cox believing I needed a specific type of procedure on my eyes. After his assistant ran some tests and I met with him, he suggested a referral to a general plastic surgeon, stating that the results I was looking for would be better handled in that way. I was frankly shocked that he would be this honest. How would I know until after he took my money and performed the procedure that it may not be the "right" one for me? I certainly would not have. He kindly gave me names of other doctors and pleasantly sent me on my way. His staff was friendly as well, and the atmosphere of the office was peaceful and breezy. Nice to know places like this still exist.

Thinks He's God
My brother had to have his eyeball removed. Told me it would be the easiest recovery I had ever seen. Ha! He prescribed him exactly 8 Hydrocodone and went on vacation. That would be exactly enough pain meds to take 1 every 6 hrs for 2 days. Why? Didn't they teach him in medical school that not everybody is the same, heals the same and not everybody's pain will be gone in 2 days?! I've worked in the medical field for 25 years and have never, ever worked with a Dr so presumptuous to just know when someone's pain will be gone. Has he had his eyeball removed? He's dismissive, doesn't want to be bothered with answering questions. Told my brother, if "it" (whatever's in there for the time being) "falls out, just pop it back in". Really? It's not a gumball we're talking about! He's got the bedside manner of the devil. I've never met such an egotistical Dr in my life. Would go to absolutely any other Dr than him

3 previous surgeries /only Dr. Cox fixed my eye
My left eye had a clogged tear duct. My eye poured tears daily which also caused my nose to run all the time. I had 3 previous surgeries and it just got worse. Finally, I learned of Dr. Shannon Cox and went to get his opinion on my eye issue. He said he could do a procedure that was 97% effective and would create me a new tear duct...he did the outpatient procedure....and my eye is fixed after 4 years of another doctor messing around. I highly recommend Dr. Shannon Cox. I will only use him for my eye issues going forward. He is the only eye surgeon in Tulsa who can do this procedure and he is excellent.

Dr. Cox performed eyelid surgery on one eye. He did a fantastic job and it looks amazing. I wanted to get both eyes done but he was honest with me and said that my right eye really didn't need the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Cox.

Being a retired Critical Care RN, I only go to an MD with whom I have worked or one who is recommended by a fellow medical person. My routine Dr. was not available. Dr. Cox's office staff put me in as an add on as it was urgent. I found Dr. Cox to be knowledgeable, informative, takes care of his own patients (even week-ends) and even called me at home to find out how I was. Dr. Cox's dedication and compassion are impressive. Definitely staying with Dr. Cox. Highly recommended!
