Dr. Shannon Mize, MD

Dr Mize was incredibly thorough in reviewing the results of the annual test. He is an exceptional doctor, Our experience with him when Margaret was in poor health was exceptional. Her complete recovery was due to his exceptional ability. In Margarets and my experience over many decades. we have never had a physician that compared with Dr Mize.

Our first visit with Dr. Mize was beyond expectations. Exceptionally grateful to his insight, experience and empathy for his patients and humanity.

Dr. Mize thoroughly explained all the results of my blood, vision, hearing, breathing test and addressed all of the items I had on you check list for my visit.

I had my yearly wellness exam for 2021 in March and it was an extremely thorough exam. Dr. Mize does these yearly physicals in two appointments, the first consists of checking blood pressure, hearing, vision and several other tests , as well as taking blood to be sent to the lab. I see his nurse, Cindy, for these tests. Two weeks later is the second visit, and Dr. Mize goes over the results of all the tests Cindy performed, as well the blood work results. He explains what the blood work showed, and we talk about what I need to do to improve anything that indicates a problem, or could cause a problem in the future. His explanations are easy to understand, and he makes a list of vitamins I should take, or suggestions about my diet and so forth. And I receive an email from his office the same day with detailed information about all the lab work and tests performed. Dr. Mize and his staff are awesome, and I know that I'm getting the best medical care possible.

I called the office because this doctor came up as an in-network doctor for my Aetna plan. I wanted to make an appointment for a physical and was told I would have to join the membership for this office. Hmmm, I never heard of that! So I asked what is the membership cost and was told it’s $1600 a year!!!! I will be contacting my provider to let them know that this doctor and his office should be removed from the list of doctors. I am already paying $500 a mo. for my insurance, why would I need to pay $1600 for some membership? Makes no sense, especially for someone like me who never goes to a doctor, other than for a yearly physical check up?! Unbelievable!

He’s been my physician for over 25 years. He’s easy to talk to very thorough and has the experience I’ve come to depend on.

Dr. Mize is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. I trust him more than any physician I have ever had. When he is unsure about a diagnosis, he quickly refers me to an expert in the field for a consultation or testing. He truly cares about his patients.

Dr Mize accepted me as a new patient when I moved from Florida to the Cumming Ga area this past fall. Within two weeks of the initial visit, I fell victim to a raging bull case of shingles. One phone call was all that was needed. As quickly as I could drive to his office, Dr. Mize saw me and immediately began treatment. The office staff was very compassionate and helpful with getting a retina specialist engaged on an emergent basis. Dr. Mize is awesome

Dr. Miss is a caring doctor he always took very good care of my family .I was very sad to leave his practice.I have yet to replace him with a good doctor.. I recommend him highly.He is a 5 star doctor.

Dr. Mize is the best!!! Old school doc, takes his time and focuses on the patient. Tired of "fast food" style medicine........if yes, then make your next appointment with Dr. Mize.
