Dr. Shannon Roberts, MD

Condescending (to me as a patient, as well as nurses and other practitioners at Gros Ventre) and clearly more concerned about her personal schedule than your individual care. She sent us home with a 24 week ultrasound photo (24, not 20 due to “scheduling issues” at the clinic) clearly indicating the gender of our infant even though we wanted to be surprised. Shrugged that and her general demeanor at that appt off. The next time I saw her, she openly trashed her colleagues and pressured me to schedule an induction (super easy pregnancy, no issues or concerns), then scoffed when I asked basic questions about it (as her recommendation contradicted the research I had done). That was the last straw after being harassed about pre-paying for services at every appt and having various scheduling issues (the day before that appt I was notified that Dr Roberts had an “emergency” surgery the next morning and needed to reschedule, when I said no, suddenly she was available...?)

While vacationing in Jackson I experienced an emergent situation requiring surgery and I'm SO thankful Dr. Roberts was the one on call. She was AMAZING. She was very detailed with her explanations, empathetic and caring. The surgery went well, my recovery is going good, and she even called and spent 17 min checking in and giving more detailed explanations of her findings and suggestions. I want to move to Jackson just to have her as my OB! (Not to mention all the other amazing things in the Jackson area). THANK you, Dr. Roberts!

Dr Roberts was our OB for 2 pregnancies and we found her knowledge to be incredible, her experience excellent and her ability to deal with tough situations unparalleled. She diagnosed a very complicated disorder early on in the pregnancy that often goes unseen until after birth. She was able to negotiate the difficult situations with us with assurance and compassion. She is well qualified and is an amazing doctor! We hold the highest of regards for her as a trusted friend and doctor!
