Dr. Sharad Ghamande, MD

I just celebrated my 16th anniversary of being cancer free. I had ovarian cancer.Dr Ghamande was my doctor. Not only he cared for me but also my whole family. Our experience with doctor Ghamande was excellent. He was always there when needed, had the understanding of how terrified I was. I remember when at one of my appointments he asked me what were my blood test results, my response was: I didn’t have such tests. He just smiled and said, it’s ok without it. Guess due to my fear of the results I denied having the test. Dr. Ghamande is an excellent surgeon, caring doctor and a fantastic human being.

I was referred to Dr. Ghamande as 'the one I'd want to take care of my wife and mother'. I knew he would be knowledgeble but impressed with his respect and concern. I love that he is based on facts and not a 'what if'' or 'maybe' advisor. He gained my trust and that is not an easy feat.

My mother was diagnosed with Stage Iv Ovarian cancer in November of 2018. As of today, December 12, 2019, she is in total remission thanks to Dr. Sharad Ghamande and his staff. Dr. Ghamande is a kind, compassionate doctor who is very knowledgeable and stays current with the latest treatment options. He and his staff gave my mother the best treatment; they were a Godsend for her. We were so blessed to have found them! We highly recommend them to anyone facing the same kind of challenge.

I was diagnosed with a very rare type of uterine cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. My gynecologist recommended Dr. Ghamande and said he is who she would want to care for her if she had my condition. He is an excellent doctor who is kind, compassionate, and reassuring. He said although my cancer was very rare, he saw it every day because that's what he does. I like and trust him very much and would recommend him to anyone with gynecological cancer. After my endometrial cancer metastasized to both lungs and liver, I knew my options were limited. After receiving my last rounds of Doxil Liposomal chemotherapy, my oncologist referred me to Dr. Gharmande. I now have hope as clinical trials are now available for my type of cancer. I have choices now, thanks to Dr Gharmande and his wonderful staff. No question goes unanswered, never feel alone or just another patient. He genuinely cares for you. I am so thankful for him.

A very caring doctor. Dr. Ghamande performed two of my surgeries and set up my treatment plan and my scans etc. I am still alive and kicking after four and a half years and I owe that to Dr. Ghamande and some other doctors that have taken such good care of me. I highly recommend him.

When I was diagnosed with cancer in November 2011 and had a CA 125 test with results in excess of 2200 which revealed Stage III C ovarian cancer, I was so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Ghamande. He is the most caring physician I have ever known and he literally saved my life. My cancer returned in 2017 after I had moved to Atlanta and it was successfully treated again by Dr. Qin Zhang. Dr. Ghamande set the stage for my ability to recover and I still feel his presence in my life today.

My mother Mrs. Rushworth was treated by Dr Ghamade at the age of 87. I can't tell you the amount of compassion and understanding this man has. He never gave up hope ever and treated my mother as if she was his family. Dr. Ghamande has what most doctors lack and that is to go above and beyond his scope of practice, and providing empathy and hope for a cancer patients days to come. He is the best I have seen in a very long time. Keep on doing what you do because it makes a world of difference.

He is THE MAN........I am very fortunate to have been under his care for the past 8 years. He is among the best Oncologist on our planet a gifted physician and wonderful person.
