Would NOT recommend Dr. Callison
There was an internal error made on behalf of the staff which ultimately resulted in me being terminated as a patient. The events they accused me of never happened. I tried for weeks on end to reconcile these allegations and prove my innocence, but was ultimately ignored. I offered phone records and even requested the involvement of their IT department to go over analytics and or voice recordings from the day this event allegedly happened. I couldn’t even get a staff a member to return my calls for over 2 weeks. All the while, I was experiencing medical issues. They told me to 'go to the ER if it’s that bad'. The negligence and lack of communication shown by Dr. Callison and staff are extremely unprofessional, negligent and unacceptable.

Extremely LONG wait
Dr. Callison is a nice person, but the wait times at her office are disastrous. My time has value, also. Earlier this month I waited for over an hour (standing, there were no chairs left) and eventually, I had to leave. I finally got in this week, after waiting another hour, just to see a nurse practitioner. Also I really dislike a valet parking my car. And there is no signage to tell you where her office is (I once got off the elevator on the wrong floor and tried to call, but the front desk won't answer--she's too busy). Although I've gone to TVOBGYN for over a decade, I'm DONE.

Best of the best. She’s wonderful, informative, trustworthy, blunt, and tells you straight up what you need/don’t need/ her opinion on your care, which I love. She does what is best for her patients

I established with Dr. Callison nearly a year ago. I have always heard super mixed reviews, but decided to give her a try. I had been trying to get pregnant for a while with no luck, and also made her aware of some serious pain that I had been experiencing since being off of birth control. I never asked for pain medication, ibuprofen was just fine but I knew the pain wasn't normal (it was worse than being in labor). Her response "Womanhood sucks doesn't it? Keep having sex with your husband, anytime he wants...and wear a thong!!" Not once did she express any concerns about my pain or any interest in trying to explore the reason for it. Fast-forward to today, I am 5 days post-op from laparoscopy with Dr. Davenport, a fertility specialist. I made an appointment with him myself after I was disregarded by Callison entirely. Turns out I was covered up in endometriosis, which was causing the pain and infertility. She also pushes C-sections, no wonder she carries the highest rate for them.

I have been a patient of Dr. Callison for a couple of years now. She delivered my son, 2 years ago and I can’t say enough good things about her! The wait is long to see her but totally worth it! She always asks if I have questions and even asks hubby too. I was induced a week early due to my sons large size. She knew that I didn’t want a C-section unless absolutely necessary. During delivery she was so patient and tried so many creative ways to help me when I was struggling pushing, but she was always upfront and honest with me about everything! We had told her during labor that everyone was calling our son “Mr. Andrew” instead of just Andrew (family joke) and when he came out she remembered that and made a joke saying he was definitely a “Mr. Andrew” since he was a big boy. Sounds small and meaningless, but it was caught on video and it was so special and personal to us! We love her and I will never use anyone else! We are pregnant with our 2nd child now and still love Dr. Callison!

I’m 53 and in peri menopause. The last time I saw her was for abnormal bleeding. I’m very anxious about gynecological exams, even under normal circumstances. Her and her staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable and diagnose the problem. When I left that day, I had a diagnosis, a surgery date, I did not feel embarrassed or nervous, and I was very confident in Dr. Callison’s ability to help me. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

I am 74. Been going to Dr Callison for more than 10 years. She sent me to the oncology gyn dr when I had a spot of blood, she said just in case. Well, it was cancer. So because of Dr Callison I had an early diagnosis, remedied by hysterectomy in birmngham, chemo and radiation in Huntsville. Am very grateful she was my doctor!!

Dr. Callison is knowledgeable and well spoken with a bedside manner that is beyond reproach. She is an outstanding physician l in every sense of the word. Her office wait is long but she’s absolutely worth it. I had one induction due to complications that resulted in a healthy delivery. I highly recommend her and her staff.

DO NOT go to her! The entire practice is corrupt, unethical and unprofessional! They care nothing about their patients and only care about money. There are things going on behind the scenes that are vindictive and just wrong. I wont got into more detail for the sake of some friends involved but STAY AWAY FROM DR. RAIFORD & Dr. CALLISON! Dr. Callison is the President of the group & she treated me with hateful disrespect all because I requested to switch doctors.

Love Dr. Callison and her team! Never had a problem scheduling during pregnancy, annual appointment is harder to schedule. I ended up having preeclampsia, but Dr. Callison was all over it ahead of time and monitored me closely. Felt safe the entire pregnancy with her and trusted her as she thoroughly explained everything to us.

Dr. Callison is a wonderful doctor! She sat with me and my husband and listed to all of our concerns. She took note of all of them and had an answer for everything. After two miscarriages and a premature delivery, she has put this pregnant momma at ease this pregnancies and she and the staff give you nothing but the best care. They don't make you feel dumb for calling with little concerns. She is absolutely the best!

A HORROR!! She scared me into having an unneccessary surgery that will possibly keep me from ever being a mother. If I ever do conceive it will be a high-risk pregnancy and I may have to undergo TWO MORE SURGERIES!! They don't call her "Cut em' up Callison" for nothing! She "specializes" in VBAC but her cesarean rate is 54%! I asked for her stats and she said she "doesn't keep up with that". However BCBS of AL has her stats, as well as every other doctors. An F! She is an egotistical butcher!

This office staff and doctors are wonderful, however I had a recent visit on a very hot day. The air conditioner was not working well at all. There were large fans in the waiting room and in the exam rooms. The nurse who brought me back said it had been that way for a while and who ever is responsible could not seem to get it repaired.
