The Final Straw
I've always found the doctor to be friendly, pleasant and professional, and never felt that I received anything less than great treatment. However, over the last two years or so, things have started to change, possibly due to her being overworked. She still possesses all the qualities mentioned, but she's also unreachable when needed, and doesn't check emails or return calls. Also, her staff never answers the phone, which isn't really a problem since I know they’re busy and I gladly leave messages. But they also don't return calls in a timely manner. In fact, when I called the clinic and left a message, during a recent health scare, it took over two weeks before anyone got back to me. The final straw was when my medication ran out because the refill prescription wasn't transmitted accurately. I couldn’t get anyone to help me. It took weeks to resolve and shouldn’t have. This has happened more than once; now I’m forced to look for other health care professionals.
