am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the unacceptable treatment my mother received from Dr. Sharon Liu during her recent appointment at Chesapeake Health Care OBGYN. As a concerned family member, I was present via phone during part of the consultation, and the experience was deeply troubling. During her appointment, my mother encountered clear instances of racial and language discrimination. Moreover, the staff's treatment of my mother and myself was equally disheartening. They were dismissive and condescending, implying that my mother lacked understanding when, in fact, she was merely struggling with language barriers. The fact that she was unable to receive care after waiting for an hour is particularly concerning, as it reflects a disregard for patient needs and rights. This experience was not just disappointing; it was an egregious failure of the standards of care and respect expected in a healthcare setting. I met with Dr. Liu and was very impressed. She was very thorough in my exam as well as being sure I understand everything the exam is for and to be sure that I had no questions when I left. I really appreciated everything she offered and I felt good about the entire medical experience when I left.

I have been a patient of Dr. Liu’s since she worked in Easton and I continue to see her at her office in Salisbury, despite now living 6 hours away. She is very competent and caring and I recommend her to all of my friends and family!

Dr. Lui has always been very caring and compassionate. She answers questions thoroughly and provides good information. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was very helpful and gave me excellent information. My experience has been, and still is, that she is an excellent doctor, top notch.

I called for appt as a new pt and was told new appts would take approximately 9 weeks. I was told the doctor would call me with an appt date. I agreed that I could wait that amount of time for an appt. After 2 months waiting to be called with an appt date, I was told the doctor would not accept me as a patient. No reason given. No apology for extended wait time. I worked in Ob/gyn health care for 40 years. I never heard of anyone being treated this way.

Would recommend to anyone. Friendly and courteous staff. Dr. Liu makes everything clean and clear. Patiently answers all our doubts.

Takes time talking to you and asks questions. Made me feel comfortable talking to her.
