I had a concern of a breast lump and pain I was experiencing. Several of my coworkers recommended Dr. Lum to me. The day of my appointment I was very nervous and feared the worst. I was greeted with friendly staff who showed compassion. I felt validated when I shared my concerns. Dr. Lum performed a thorough breast exam. I was very surprised when she brought in an ultrasound machine. She showed me the area of concern was a patch of dense breast tissue. She provided me with literature to help manage pain and discussed possible genetic testing. I was invited back to follow up as needed. Her professionalism and calming manner provided me comfort during my visit. I am now recommending my own family members to see her.

Dr. Lum provided me with exceptional care and support during my medical procedure. Her compassionate approach and clear explanations were very reassuring when I was dealing with anxiety about the medical procedures. Her communication during and attentive aftercare made a significant difference in my experience. She was responsive to my questions and made sure I felt informed throughout the process. Dr.Lum is dismissive and uninformed. She was also very rough during the breast exam. This is the type of doctor who harms people.

I have experienced severe pain several months after surgery. I was 'slapped' back together post surgery which caused severe scarring. I would not recommend this surgeon.

Lab Corp determined that a large lump in one of my breasts was a high risk benign phyllodes tumor, and they recommended that it should be removed. Dr. Lum downplayed the lab's results and my concerns. She was very condescending and openly admitted that she didn't want to take it out. She did not want to remove or do a biopsy on a new mass either. She wanted to just keep an eye on both of them, but reluctantly agreed to remove the phyllodes. She tried to get me to do a genetic test. Her reasoning was that if I had the breast cancer gene, she would do what she preferred to do, which is a bilateral mastectomy (taking my entire breast). She said that she didn't want to have to do multiple surgeries if more lumps appear. She wanted to only do one for me. She did not care about me and did not want to help me. She even asked me to verify my insurance because that was what mattered. I'm in my twenties. I simply want the tumors removed. They hurt and the lab's recommended that they be removed.
