There are no words strong enough to express my gratitude for Dr. Schell and the incredible care she has provided for my twin boys in the NICU. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she is not only an exceptional doctor but also a fierce advocate for her tiniest patients. One of my twins faced a complicated medical situation, and Dr. Schell refused to settle for uncertainty. She fought tirelessly for a proper diagnosis, ensuring that he received the right care as quickly as possible. Her determination, deep medical knowledge, and unwavering dedication gave us peace of mind during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Beyond her expertise, Dr. Schell is a force of nature—strong, compassionate, and incredibly hardworking. She treats every baby as if they were her own and every parent with kindness and respect. I have complete trust in her judgment and am endlessly grateful to her. We love ya, Dr. Schell!!

I truly believe that our twin boys wouldn’t be here without Dr. Schell. From the moment they were born (3 months early) she was very honest and upfront with us about the path forward, and what we needed to do to give our boys the best chance to make it out of the NICU. It was a rollercoaster of a ride, but Dr. Schell was there with us every step of the way, and Conemaugh is very lucky to have her.

The day I went into preterm labor, Dr. Schell never left my side. Our twins were born at 25 weeks and from day one Dr. Schell was honest with us about what could happen with our boys. She never sugarcoated anything regarding their care and issues we could or would face. Dr. Schell is one of the most knowledgeable and caring doctors I have ever been around. Our town is beyond blessed to have her and her expertise in our hospital. She works extremely long hours and dedicates her life to helping tiny helpless sick babies and their parents. I wish the world had more doctors like Dr. Schell. We love her and will forever be indebted to her for all she did to provide the love and care to our twins.

Dr. Schell, is without a doubt, one of the best neonatal doctors. As a first time mom with a baby that was diagnosed with GBS meningitis illness, Dr. Sharon Schell came to our rescue with her knowledge and emotional support. We as first time parents had a traumatic experience but Dr. Schell was by our side and made sure we knew our baby’s progress every step of the way. Thank you for everything Doc, we love you!

Dr. Schell is my real life guardian angel. She is the kindest, most helpful Dr./individual I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She took care of our 3 day old daughter who was diagnosed with GBS Meningitis, 104 degree temp, and worked TIRELESSY to save her life. Multiple times came to our rescue, and advised "It will be ok Matt, I will take care of her" and she did just that. Having our first child come out with this serious of a disease was something NO one is prepared for. She came to my rescue in the NICU first and then weeks later, in the ER. If you are looking for the top of the line NICU Dr, I promise she will take the best care of you, and give you straight forward answers in language you can understand. Every time I think of what she helped us through I get emotional and I owe my life to this wonderful Dr! We love you Dr. Schell!

Horrible bedside manner! Extremely rude, void of all tact and compassion! Ruthlessly speaks death over newborns with no confirmed diagnosis. Just a disgusting person who seems disinterested in new moms or helping their babies. Absolutely hate that she was involved. Really tainted experience.
