Dr. Sharyu Bande, MD

My experience with Dr. Bande has been consistently terrible. From the very first visit, it was clear she lacks any sense of compassion or basic respect for her patients. If you prefer a doctor who talks at you rather than listens to you, then by all means, go see her. She is cold, dismissive, and condescending, with absolutely no regard for her patients’ concerns or feelings. Asking questions? Don’t bother—she’ll make you feel dumb for even trying. Every appointment with her has been an anxiety-inducing ordeal. Her attitude is so unprofessional and uncaring that I dread follow-up visits. She is not the kind of doctor who fosters trust or a sense of safety, and I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value a doctor-patient relationship built on empathy and mutual respect.

Absolute horrendous - she never go es through the lab reports and calls back with the diagnosis - one has to call her office several times before a response can be elicited. She order a CT on the wrong side of the body multiple times - very careless - stay away

I don't particularly have a problem with Dr Bande, but the office is an absolute travesty. I personally was told I would have to wait appx a year for a physical. If that wasn't bad enough my wife has been sick and went to see them on Monday when she was prescribed medication. Thursday the medication wasn't working and she called for a follow up appointment and was told she could only do telemedicine. Completely upset she couldn't see her physician (not even a PA) she waited for her telemedicine appointment which was then pushed off until tomorrow. No patient concern in this practice, you're only a number. I strongly suggest other alternatives.

Dr. Bande should consider another professional. She's a terrible doctor. She NEVER follows up and always seems to be, out of the office. Her assistants are just as bad.

Dr. Bande was very attentive to me and my needs. We discussed several issues and made plans that will be followed up on. I find her a breath of fresh air in the healthcare world.

Dr Bande is a cold person. I’ve been her patient for the last few years and she knows little about me. This is a long story but I’ll spare you the details. Dr Bande was supposed to be tapering me off of a strong medication that I’ve been taking for years, at a high dose. It’s a long process and after several calls for my next refill, I was told that Dr Bande was refusing to refill the meds because I had not yet been able to see another Dr that she suggested I go to for a consultation. She knows that I don’t have insurance and if she cared at all, she would know that I live check to check, so paying out of pocket would be almost impossible for me. Anyway, she refused to refill the meds, knowing that it would cause me to go through withdrawal. I ended up in the ER with high blood pressure and an even higher heart rate. I am so hurt that a person who is supposed to be helping me, just put me in the hospital because I wasn’t able to do what she wanted. So much for the Hippocratic oath.

It took me a week to get Dr. Bande’s referral to be tested for COVID-19 after being exposed to a positive person at work & me showing symptoms. Now, I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt with COVID protocols being new, but it’s also been 2 full weeks since I was tested and I haven’t been given my results! I’ve called multiple times without even a mention of my results. In my company, I’m considered an essential employee so during these worrisome times, without test results, doctors note or any response I have to report to the office. I have friends that were tested in stamford after me and got results within 4 days! Any response during these concerning times would be expected instead of talking to a nurse on the phone that is emailing her my questions, while she works from home.

Dr. Bande is easily distracted, rude and extremely unprofessional. She waited days to get back to me after she received my bloodwork results and only contacted me after I left 4 messages for her (over the course of a week). When I spoke to her regarding my concerns of her being distracted during my visit her response was "Well you had a 5 minute walk in appointment, what did you expect." It was not a walk in appointment and even if it was I would expect professional and courteous treatment.

Dr. Bande listened to and addressed my concerns thoroughly. She took my history, listened to my questions and sent me for adequate testing. My follow up visit with her I felt she spent a lengthy time with me going through my test results and asking questions to further uncover the root of the problem. She is pleasant and doesn't make you feel rushed.
