I have suffered with allergies and asthma for 20 years and have been on an antibody blocking interleukin for 6 years consistently, my symptoms were severe enough that the approval process was very quick at my previous allergist. I recently moved and got new insurance, and I knew that i would need to restart that approval process so I have been acting quickly so there isn't too much of a gap where I am not taking this medicine that has very much helped me.Instead of listening to me and/or even checking to see if this was something he could do, he told me that he wouldn't even start the process of getting this filled for me until he saw for himself that I was suffering. The thing is- I am in good shape right now BECAUSE of this medicine. So he wants me to get bad enough that he can see for himself when he has all my medical records from my previous doctor? I am actively trying to AVOID suffering like I did before starting it, and he should understand that as a medical professional...

I went to Dr Kumar to find if I was still allergic to penicillin. I had a rash after taking penicillin in my twenties and so all my life I have been given high powered broad spectrum antibiotics for relatively minor illnesses since I could not take penicillin. Though I am quite healthy, I am also in my 80’s and I was worried about developing resistance or even being harmed by these very powerful drugs. I found both Dr Kumar and his staff to be knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Each step of the process was explained in detail and the testing was carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. I am very happy to report that I am no longer allergic to penicillin and will be able to have many more treatment options should I require them in the future.

I would rank Dr. Kumar, his nurse practitioners, nurses, and office staff all 5 STARS. Dr. Kumar and the nurse practioners listen to what I share and work to provide the best treatment possible. I wish all my doctors and their staff were as conscientious and pleasant to work with.

He will explain why you have something and how if possible. He is willing to spend a lot of time with the patient.

15+ years and had been satisfied with him until just recently. Developed chronic, persistent cough. Has been almost 3 months since slept. Fitbit bracelet states awaken 17 average each nite. Pleaded with him to prescribe cough syrup to help sleep. He refused stating syrup I need is addictive. 60 years old and have yet developed an addiction to ANYTHING. Went to see ENT specialist on my own who did CT scan of sinuses. Sinuses so bad. Scheduled 4 surgical procedures. Said need get new allergist!
