Dr. Shaun Brancheau, DO

Shaun treated my husband like dirt because he declined a Covid test. He said, “how do you want me to treat then?” So rude, condescending and arrogant. Life does not revolve around Covid!!

Dr. Brancheau completely misdiagnosed a problem I was having and when I questioned him he changed his diagnosis to "personality disorder". I've never had an appointment with such an arrogant and unpleasant doctor.

Dr. Brancheau has been my dads doctor for the last 7 years. He is a great doctor and makes my dad feel good when coming into see him. My dad is a little saddened since he is leaving Idaho. Great bedside manners and always in good spirits.

Pleasant fellow. Talked fishing mostly. Annual Medicare health "review" was a joke. Failed to diagnose skin cancer on my face for 2 years. Second appointment was scheduled before the required 12 months between visits had passed. Had to pay out-of-pocket because of staff's scheduling error.

Dr B was pretty straight forward, too much so. I was a new pt. He had no idea of my values on root cause and appreciation for naturopathy w/. A healthy respect of time and place for western medicine. He went off on naturopaths & his lack of respect for them. Close mindedness, an instant turn off in considering a physician for care. Furthermore his bedside manor and inappropriate joking about meth and crack was very distasteful for me as a conservative person who’s never used drugs. I can appreciate his ordering bloodwork needed to find cause, tho it’s been years, that has all been done. I am very in tune with what’s going on in my body and he Had no interest in listening/understanding my perspective. I have worked in many aspects of healthcare for 30 yrs & never felt so insulted, downtrodden by anyone. He may have a better “cool” rapport w/ his male patients but I would suggest any woman looking for a PCP, look elsewhere. I nearly walked out during visit, tried & left feeling down

Dr. Brancheau has a terrific bed-side manner. He is very knowledgeable and is very caring. I feel fortunate to be his patient.

I was having a non-emergency health issue during the Covid-19 situation. I called the office to get some advice and the PA scheduled a video conference with Dr. B. As usual, he was personable, caring and as thorough as one can be during a video visit. Enjoyed his bedside manner and levity.

Always courteous and caring. Great bedside manner and knowledgeable.

My first visit was impressive! He knew my health history, he was friendly and professional! He provided a written summary of the visit with follow up needs. He explained I could call anytime I needed, very accommodating.

Dr. Brancheau is a great listener and diagnostician

Had seen the doctor for my father and a diagnosis and f/u nailed as issue that helped him immediately. My first visit as patient was excellent, he could see some tests I had from other doctors and said he prefers less Rx's than more but at first he will leave current meds alone and monitor over time. He has a personality!! I like that.

My first visit was professional and thorough. He asked the right questions and was friendly as well as professional.

I am very happy to have Dr. Brancheau as our family provider. Dr. Brancheau took a great deal of time in my initial appointment and asked many good questions to help him ascertain my general health. I have since seen him for various issues and always felt respected and well advised. I would highly recommend Dr. Brancheau.

I scheduled an appointment with him as he had the soonest opening. Was hoping to establish a primary care after moving to the area. He did not fully inform me of what he intended to do regarding continuing my prescriptions. He failed to inform me I would have to see him EVERY MONTH to get a refill. He focused solely on one issue when I had a few I hoped to address with him. When I tried to move on to a new issue, he said, "Times up." Not recommended for anything beyond a simple diagnosis.

Always seems to be in a hurry. It seems like Kootenai Healthcare has put him on a time schedule to see so many patients in a day! I question the organization, if this is the case, not the physician. With technology advancements, computers have aided both medical staff and patients, however, the downside, less personal contact as physicians spend 90% looking at the computer. And, staff has hard time with patient portal postings.

I didn't talk to Dr. brancheau for an hour after appointment time was supposed to be at. For the wait, I got to speak with him for 5 min before he sent me away. Waste of a visit. Nothing was accomplished. There was supposed to be follow up visits with another doctor and some tests run. I never got contacted. The examination room was also very cold.

I saw him for multiple visits as I got progressively worse. He refused to listen to my symptoms and ordered multiple MRIs but not the basic labs that diagnosed my medical problem. Very arrogant and not knowledgeable.

The office staff and Dr. BRANCHEAU are friendly, caring, professional . He listens and takes time to explain and answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend him.

Great doctor. I would recommend to anyone I know .. and I have.

I like Dr. Brancheau very much. He is thorough, patient, and I feel comfortable asking him anything.
