Dr. Shaun Daly, MD

Was so grateful Dr. S. Daly and staff made my son and I comfortable about my up coming surgery and treatment plan an were very helpful about getting my pre-op tests and physicals as close to home as possible as I live quite a distance away, and since I am disabled, I have to have my son accompany me,and he works for the Military. DR. Daly was very clear in his explanations and patient with our questions.

In the actual hospital, I have always had a good experience at UCI Med at Orange. I also have no complaints about Dr.Daly. Both he and all the nurses and staff are kind, knowledgeable and professional. The only thing that was a huge pain for me was getting this post-op scheduled. It took over a week of repeated phone calls and MyChart messages to get it worked out, which I had to do while recovering from my surgery.

I would have given the experience a 10 had I been seen in a more timely manner. My appt was at 3:30; Didn't see the doctor until 4:30. However, every interaction (nurse, med student and doctor) was positive, thorough and comprehensive.

Dr. Daly is the best and his staff too!

Dr. Daly was attentive to my questions. He made eye contact and was patient and caring. I did not feel rushed. He explained several options for moving ahead with my care.

I was really looking forward to meeting Dr. Daly. I waited a very long time to see him, no fault of his own, just the referral system and authorizations and such. I've been very sick for a very long time and I felt like I spent the majority of my time talking to his physician assistant, I think her name was Lauren. And so when he came in, I wish I would have had a little bit more time to talk to him and understand and explain to him personally what I was concerned about. It just felt very rushed and I hope I get to spend more time with, I don't know, him or one of the other surgeons. So I do appreciate his time.

Good management in UCI Health.

Well, for the surgery, apparently the doctor didn't check my history information regarding smoking and having a surgery. That was in my history and I was then told at a last point that I can't have the surgery because I smoke and I'll need to stop for three months. So, I was not happy with that because they should have told me that way ahead if they had reviewed my incoming information.
