Dr. Shawn Chambers, MD

was ten minutes late and kept cutting me off as i talked. i brought up something a bit unrelated and he used it as a way to end the call early. was ten minutes late and never said anything, served as a good lesson in always looking up who i’ll be talking to. only in it for the paycheck and didn’t even bother to try and hide it. i would hope he saw this so he would maybe feel a little bad, but you’ve made it clear you’re a terrible person and don’t deserve your title.

Talked to a different therapist and psychiatrist after seeing and realized he did not even attempt to start building a psychological profile for me or assessment. He asked 3 measly questions and after hearing I had a history of depression, prescribed me something and sent me on my way. He had no curiosity, no interest, and had nothing to say to my questions other than 'maybe we talk bout that next time.' Why would I ever schedule with you again? He cannot even ACT like he cares.

Had our first visit today and they didn’t show up for it. Filing a formal complaint against this doctor for wasting patients time and money.

The doctor arrived late for the appointment and did not acknowledge his tardiness, even when I mentioned it. There was a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. When he finally joined the call, he simply asked, “How can I help you?” The overall vibe felt very unsettling, so I decided to end the call. I should have trusted my instincts and ended the call before he joined.

My experience with Dr. Chambers was excellent. He assessed my concerns and sent medication to my pharmacy within hours of our visit. I thought he had a gentle mannerism.

You will be highly disappointed in his lack of care. Clearly he is in his position to collect a check. There is no way he is there because he loves to help people with their mental health. My encounter with him has led to even more mental health challenges.

USELESS. HE ASKED ME 3 QUESTIONS AND TOLD ME HE DOESNT SEE IT WORKING OUT FOR ME. HE OFFERED PHARMACEUTICALS AFTER I TOLD HIM I DONT WANT ANY AND HUNG UP. 7 minute call time. I SCHEDULED 45 MINS. TERRIBLE DO NOT USE. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, CONTRADICTS HIMSELF, UNPREPARED, LACK OF FOCUS, VAGUE QUESTIONS. INCITES HOPELESSNESS, NEGATIVITY, DISCOMFORT, FRUSTRATION

The worst psychiatrist I have ever dealt with. He met with me on a tuesday, prescribed me medication, and then the pharmacy had to clear an authorization with him. He was unresponsive for four business days. I strongly urge you not to meet with this doctor.

Should’ve read reviews first, don’t waste your time scheduling appt.

Dr. Chambers is very respectful, but during my follow up visits he kept forgetting who I was or what I was there for, literally one week apart. It showed me that he doesn't read his own medical reports or diagnosis, and that he doesn't really care. He also seems very disconnected when you are talking to him.

Cancelled my teledoc appointment I've been waiting all week for (to get a medication refill I desperately need after moving states) 15 min before. No offer for alternate times. No excuse for that.

Unprofessional and disrespectful. Have had several online meetings and has brought a bad attitude to online meetings when trying to explain my personal issues.

He was very helpful and listened , to the problems of my teenager. She’s been going through a lot , and he listened and didn’t push her issues to the side. He listens, while being a bit soft spoken, that is his personality.

By far the absolute worse psychiatrist I’ve ever been to im dealing with ptsd involving a recent incident I’ve dealt w. It’s been hard for me to reach out for help but I took it upon myself to do so paying 200 out of pocket. He did not address a SINGLE concern other than prescribing me medicine. He did not listen to my concerns throughly stating he does not deal with releasing people from work because it’s not scientifically proven. Cool. He then proceeds to put in my notes “ready to return to work” that never came out of my mouth! Ever. If anything I’m far from ready and if he actually listened he would’ve heard me say that. He completely contradicted himself by even putting that in my notes. It has forced me to have to got to another doctor paying another 200 dollars in which I don’t have. So my advise is RUN!

Shawn Chambers doesn't have any concern for patients. He cancel appointments with little notice or explanation. He should not make himself available if he isn't going to take this serious. My son is struggling with his mental health and he needs someone to talk he was looking forward to speaking with Shawn as his profile seemed the part. However Shawn cancelled not 1 but 2 appointments. This is unacceptable and his behavior/actions needs to be looked into. As well as Wel360 and Amwell who keep him practicing.

Aloof, seemed a bit inexperienced And disconnected

Does not show up for scheduled appointments via televisit. Completely blows you off. No call. no show.

I’ve been working with Dr. Chambers for about a year now and he is by far the best psychiatrist I’ve had. He listens to me and prescribes my medication based on what he thinks is best but he also takes in my views/needs into account.
