Worst Sickle Cell provider
Dr Glisson needs to be replaced for treatment of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). The patients are suffering & he doesn’t care at all.

Highly recommend
Dr. Glisson was a strong advocate for my father’s care plan. He was so patient with my elderly father, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Fortunately, the treatment plan he created for my father worked wonderfully and he’s shown ‘clear’ scans for 4 years in a row now. His office follows up and returns calls promptly with answers and action, when needed. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the doctor and Norton Healthcare.

Knowledgeable, caring, excellent doctor!
Dr. Glisson is a great listener, and communicator. He synthesizes all information and makes informed decisions and plans. My husband has been treated by him since 2006. We trust him implicitly!

Dr. Glisson saved my sister's life. He has the patience to listen, patience to research and fit all of the pieces of your 'health puzzle' together, and patience to explain to you everything that is going on. He reviewed 2-3 years of medical records to figure out what we were dealing with. I truly believe my sister would no longer be with us had it not been for his caring and knowledge. She is now in total remission and feels better than she has in months.

Dr Glisson is wonderful. I've been fortunate to have Dr Goldsmith originally and after a rocky start, we got along great! Unfortunately, Dr Goldsmith when into semi retirement some distance away. His first replacement was horrible and when my MPN/PV numbers went ballistic, I refused to see him again. I was blessed with Dr Glisson (who apparently trained under my first doctor) who is intelligent, caring and compassionate. He LISTENS to me and TALKS to me, explaining any issues as he goes along.

He is one of best kind of the Doctor that you cannot refused to lose! I had a lots of diff. meds and had a horrible side effect on me. He diagnosed my meds lists and found three of those meds which had same ingredients. He suggested me to stop this. I was quite shocked it went resolved my problems. What's a wonderful EC=2 math works. He talked like normal person with much laughter! You cannot lose!

Had a dr I trusted; he retired. Changed to another dr who was a major disappointment. Continue as prev dr ordered; see you in a year. Needed surgery; blood tests showed platelets at 695. Called for an appt & insisted on different dr. Love Dr. Glisson, found he had studied under my first doctor. Dr. G spent time and asked several questions, we changed my dosage & I see him in 3 mos. He kept close tabs on me during/after surgery; saw me in hosp. I like and respect this man.
