Always Thorough
I've been going to Dr. Mac for over 15 years. Have always had the best of care. Trust him enough to travel 60 miles one way to see him.

Malpractice, patient abandonment by law he was required to give me a reasonable amount of time to find another doctor and he bu law is required when he dismisses a patient or any doctor to give a referral and a reasonable amount of time and medication until that patient can get to another doctor he literally would not explain anything I went in after they askedcmecto come first a visit and he said the word no twice that's all he said to me I'm confused still about what happened I called four times the office staff just pick the phone up I said my name and they refused to tell me anything and told me to hold and hung up all four times finally I got the nurse on the phone or his assistant and told her that he needed to give me a referral and at least some of my medication so I do not have seizures I really do not understand how a doctor can leave someone clueless and without medication that can cause that patient to die from going without

The staff is professional as well as the doctor. He listens and is very informative. Generally not a long wait in the lobby either.

Dr. MacDonald is the best doctor in town. Although my family has insurance, we decided 7 years ago we would rather go to his office because of his great patient care practice. Additionally, in July 2019 my then 19 year old started having arthritic issues all over. Dr. MacDonald went above and beyond in helping to ensure a diagnoses by conducting multiple test and referring her to a RA Specialist. I am internally grateful. I have discussed my daughter's care with two older staff members that have tried to get their family doctors to understand their arthritic pains, both have found new doctors due to Dr. MacDonald's attentive care for my daughter. My daughter was diagnosed with both RA and Lupus in January 2020 and I know this would not have been possible had we gone to another doctor.

We got in promptly. The staff was kind. No one had on masks. Gloves were worn by the practitioner but not the attending doctor. No one washed their hands that we saw. The hand sanitizer we were encouraged to use was sadly watered down. This is our 4th visit over many years, and was always our last choice. Now, we will take our chances and drive further, no matter what.

I am a old stubborn Savoy Texas guy.. I Don’t make a habit of going to Doctors..but Doctors did save my life with the help of staff I’m a head and neck cancer survivor stage 3.. well my wife dragged me to his office today I’ve been sick for about six days everyone was friendly and they didn’t put any trips on you and you didn’t have to fill out 20 pages of stuff.. When the Doctor came in to see me he listen to my chest front and back asking me a line of questions and said you have bronchitis.. well I filled my a copy RX’s and a shot in my butt.. I’m glad we found Dr. MacDonald and he can certainly take care of my health issues.... Hopefully we don’t need to fight any serious issues but if we do I’ll be at his door...

I have had excellent results with Dr. MacDonald. He always goes the extra mile for anyone, as long as it is reasonable. I always call to make sure that he is going to be there that day, because I think there is one weekday, and on Saturday, that he is not there. I do not have good experiences with many other doctors, but I have found Dr. MacDonald, at Sherman Medical to be outstanding.

Refuses to approve blood pressure refill unless I pay $60 for an office visit. Been on same bp med for years, been patient for years. Times are hard, can't pay office visit, but he won't work with me. Now sitting in ER with bp of 211 over 115. Called his office, his receptionist told me "good luck" after I said I hope I don't have a stroke for not having my meds.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. MacDonald and his staff. They always get me in, take great care of me, and are clear and concise with their suggestions and diagnosis. I don't like going to any doctor. But when I go, it's a good experience. I truly appreciate him and his staff.
