"My first Visit with this doctor was canceled by them and they wanted to reschedule for a month + later. I scheduled with another doctor to keep things moving and ended up seeing Dr. Holt and had already had the test. Dr. Holt made statements like “slightly elevated” and kind of brushed aside the condition that had already been diagnosed by a couple other doctors. After that visit I was Ghosted by ..." "Also Note: My GP office contracted her and wanted her to order a couple of blood test "Aldosterone/ Renin" Ratio test. they even refused request from my GP. I can only assume it was because I visited another Doctor by the time I showed up to her office."

She thyroidectomized me, and unfortunately from the insertion of the IV that damaged a vein, to the incredible roughness with which I was intubated in the OR while I was slipping under, unable to protest, to the fact one of my nerves was paralyzed due to the operation, to the extraordinarily cavalier attitude of one of her medical assistants when I asked whether this paralysis was likely to be temporary or permanent... Just a terrible experience overall. I've had other surgeries at other hospitals, you don't expect surgery to be a pleasant experience, but it was never such a bad experience before. The only good part was the post-op interaction with her PA, who is a caring individual.

I am a dentist from Tulsa, Ok who was diagnosed w hypothyroidism & multiple nodules 4 yrs ago. After becoming symptomatic, a CT confirmed that I had a non-toxic goiter extending into my chest. Knowing complications of voice control/loss after surgery, I sought the most experienced surgeon south of Mayo Clinic & Dr. Holt is the BEST!! Her team is attentive, caring & extremely talented; she performed a thyroidectomy w NO VOICE COMPLICATIONS!! I only needed Tylenol post-op!! Thanks Dr. Holt

Dr Holt performed a thyroidectomy on me three years ago. I.had papillary thyroid cancer, with nodules on both sides of my thyroid. During surgery, she discovered that I also had cancer in some lymph nodes, and so she also performed a central neck dissection. Also, one of the nodules was wrapped around a vocal cord nerve. She was able to remove the nodule with no negative effects on my voice. I am very thankful I found Dr Holt! I am cancer free today, and I know that is due in large part to her.

My case was really rare. She took the time to get more info and make sure that my thyroid could be removed safely. The surgery took time and it was removed with great skill. Dr Holt is great and I truly glad I went to her.

Dr. Holt performed a parathyroidectomy on me two weeks ago. I came to her because of her specialization in endocrine surgery relating to thyroid and parathyroid conditions. The outcome of this type of surgery is dependent upon the skill and experience of the surgeon. It turned out to be a very wise choice, as the diseased parathyroid gland was tangled up with my vocal nerve and had to be handled with great care to avoid damaging my voice. Dr. Holt did a magnificent job.
