Will NEVER Recommend Dr. Jamal!!!
My experience with Dr. Jamal as a caregiver and advocate for my elderly family member was HORRIBLE, and UNPROFESSIONAL! She has an arrogant 'I am the doctor; I am the expert' attitude. Her bedside manner is condescending, dismissive, and snippy, which led me to raise my voice—She displayed an arrogant, dismissive attitude, refusing to listen to my concerns or engage with the questions I asked as an advocate. This dismissive behavior occurred not just once but during multiple appointments, making the situation even more frustrating. This disruptive behavior did not allow for my family member to be cared for properly for that visit. I am an advocate, and I need to ask questions, I need a PCP who cares about my elderly family member and who will listen and not be arrogant. NEVER RECOMENDING Dr. Jamal. I will also be filing a complaint with the Medical Review Board.

A Great Primary Care Physician with Compassion
Dr. Jamal is an excellent physician. She truly cares and is committed to providing the very best quality medical care even in a demanding and overworked environment. She is a great listener, pays attention to even the smallest details, and follows up with easy to understand and thorough explanations. She put me at ease with a life-threatening spinal disease and provided hope while allowing me to be an advocate in my treatment.

Totally agree with another review left for this doctor. An absolutely horrible MD. Do NOT see her. She pushes her agenda, her diet plan, IUDs, and does not listen to the patient. Literally rolled her eyes at me when I told her a condition a family member has. She doesn’t believe it’s a true medical problem though Duke has a specialty clinic for this particular problem. Does not answer portal messages if they do not agree with her agenda. Unwilling to listen to or work with her patients. I have already found another doctor.

Horrible experience. The doc was jittery and frankly annoying. Didn’t help at all with medical concern.

I have been seeing Dr. Jamal for 2 years. She is great, listens to my concerns, asks my opinion, and works with me to come up with the best plan of action. Sometimes the wait it long, but I would say that is a sign of a patient centered MD, and she apologizes profusely. I like her and have full confidence in her.

She received 1 star only because it is not possible to give No stars. Horrible MD. Go anywhere else. She wants everyone on a very weird meal plan that a dietician says is the worst way to eat possibly. Unwilling to listen to anything except herself and her way. No understanding of patient privacy.
