Dr. Sherlyana Surja, MD

Previously seen Dr. Svetlana here and more recently was seen by Dr. Surja. She was courteous and professional during my visit. Listens to my concerns and seems to jot them down attentively.They are also responsive with the inhaler prescription approval process that I have to navigate thru my insurance company. Overall, I am very pleased and will be recommending UTMC to others.

But i'll find the words. i was referred to her by another doctor who doesn't listen to me either. she had no interest in reviewing any lab results through the lens of MAYBE chronic idiopathic urticaria is a lazy dx when there is so much evidence of other issues. differential dx? no way! but she got that rx for xolair$$ approved real quick. It seems that doctors and organizations get a lot of money from pharmacy benefit managers for prescribing these specialty drugs that are very profitable. refused to even entertain the thought that something else might be wrong, then they make the patient get the expensive drugs SENT TO THEIR HOUSE AND LEFT ON THE PORCH. Then they make you their drug mule, you have to bring the drug to them, they get bigger kickbacks when it's done in clinic. i live over an hour away and the drug is meant to be a certain temperature. THEY DO NOT CARE WHAT IS ACTUALLY WRONG WITH YOU. But if you have an expensive drug in mind, they'll happily oblige.
