Where's they go?
Not good at all. I saw Dr. Smith for severe foot pain and surgery was recommended. I was told a cardiac clearance would be obtained and surgery scheduled. That was in October of 2024 it's now mid March. Haven't heard a word.

Total ankle replacement
I have been seeing Dr. Smith for almost 9 years with a chronic bone on bone ankle. She performed a total ankle replacement and fusion of my subtalar joint in February. I’m well on my way to a pain free recovery.

Confused
I really like her. I also really like her PA. But office help won’t let me see her. Only PA. PA ask me to schedule with the Dr. said she really couldn’t help me and thought Dr. would be able to. But can’t seem to get an appt with the Dr anymore. Very disappointed.

She is a great doctor that truly has your best interests in mind. She repaired my broken calcaneus following a car accident. Fully explained the situation and explained all options including having a second surgery in the future. The timing of the second surgery was exactly within the time frame she anticipated and we tried a more conservative approach before scheduling the surgery. Her staff is just as great as she is. I have recommended her to anyone I know that is having foot problems.

She is wise about foot problems!
My feet were breaking down after many years of hard use. She immediately diagnosed the problem and within minutes we had a surgery scheduled. We did both feet at once (extremely painful) but I’m glad we did because I might not have come back and done the second. At one month post surgery I could hardly walk. She asked me what my goal was. I told her that I wanted to be able to walk all over DisneyWorld with my wife. Two months saw a little improvement and I started therapy. Fast forward to six months, I walked almost 10 miles per day at DisneyWorld last week with no pain. Thank you Dr Smith. Thank you Jennifer. God bless you!

Dr. Smith is hands down an exceptional doctor. I have not had surgery with her, however, she has seen me for over 5 years off and on for off and on injuries. She always takes time to listen, educate, provide options, and her professional opinion. Her bedside manner is phenomenal.

I would love to say that I had a visit with her, but I didn’t make it past her office staff. I have only heard positive things about her from my physical therapist but after dealing with her office staff for the last couple of weeks & still not making an appointment I have decided that they aren’t interested in trying to work things out. Sadly disappointed.

Her surgical skills were highly recommended by my contacts, and in the two appointments I had with her, she was kind, warm, knowledgeable, and open to ideas. I have a feeling that if her belligerent office staff had allowed me to speak with her, things might have worked out differently. As it is, their hostility and recalcitrance led me to cancel my surgery with her. I even saw the office manager bully the hospital administrator. This condescending staff treats patients like an inconvenience.

Dr. Smith operated on ankle to repair a tendon & remove cyst.I developed great discomfort during the 1st ten days. 10 days later the wound had opened and stitches not removed. Bandaged and then casted. No drain/ no ventilation.Within 10 days I developed 103 fever & severe infection.Cast cut off & sent to emergency surgery. Grangrene had set in and I almost lost my foot. Had a portion of my foot removed and was bedridden for 5 months. Neuropathy, no feeling & permanently damaged w/ constant pain.

I have been treated by Dr. Smith for several years, initially following a fracture. I have struggled with foot/toe issues my entire career as a Nurse. She has always “kept me on my feet” and gone out of her way to explain some of my special genetic “gifts” and has offered solutions to keep me going. She has treated several friends/family members as well. All with great results.

I would not recommend Dr. Smith. I have had multiple problems with my ankle after my first surgery with her. She operated a 2nd time to repair again. (All soft tissue repair) My ankle became severely infected 3 days post surgery. A nerve was damaged, so I know have neuropathy. She was rude and would not listen or acknowledge the nerve damage. I have had to change doctors to treat the neuropathy and I will likely need a third surgery on this ankle that is still in pain and is swelling.

Dr. Smith preformed a total ankle replacement on me. I will start by first saying, Thank You Dr. Smith. I had suffered for several years with ankle problems. My activities were very limited with the simple task of walking being very painful. I am back to doing activities that I hadn't been able to do for the several years, playing golf, walking and playing with the grandchildren, all pain free. Again, Thanks to Dr. Smith and her staff. Great experience.
