Dr. Shilpa Sayana, MD

Dr. Sayana does not touch her patients. Very dangerous. I complained of major boating and having to pee all the time - I even texted her from France and told her I could not wear my clothes. When I came back and had an appt. She did not touch me at all and missed a very large tumor protruding from my stomach which turned out to be ovarian cancer.

She’s thorough! She’s personable! She’s caring! And, she is brilliant!

The staff, Christine and Nashyeli were helpful and knowledgeable. They sold me. Clean, sterile offices was key. I look forward to trying more products. They has a new loyal customer

Dr. Sayana has been my PCP for over 10 years. I love her integrative approach, and that I have always been treated in a kind, inclusive and respectful manner by all staff at her clinic. I owe a lot to Dr. Sayana. Shas has saved my life twice. The last 6 years would have been a much different story if she had not been with me on my path. Early on she helped me improve my health, energy and wellness with nutrition, exercise and supplement suggestions that were given in a way that I could hear and appreciate. She guided and supported me in lowering my weight and cholesterol without the use of prescription medications. My energy and enjoyment of life increased dramatically. I was in my mid 50s and I thought that the lack of energy I felt was just part of the aging process. The doctor assured me it was not. She diagnosed vitamin deficiencies and hormone imbalances that other providers had not detected. In 2016 my life turned very dark. I presented with extreme anxiety, a crippling panic disorder and insomnia that persisted for months. Specialists dismissed my symptoms as psychological. Dr. Sayana was able to diagnose the root cause, heavy metal poisoning, and provide treatment that returned me to normal function within 18 months. In 2020 intense symptoms returned amidst the persistent brush fires. These symptoms were accompanied by painful IBS. 2 gastroenterologists had diagnosed the IBS and both insisted that it was an incurable, chronic condition that I would have to live with. Dr. Sayana diagnosed SIBO and again the root causes, an undiagnosed parasite infection and, once again, mercury blood levels that were thru the roof. 2 years later I am symptom free and IBS/SIBO are distant, painful memories.

Sayana medical has been my healthcare team for over a year and I am so grateful. They have seen me through two bouts of COVID and the after effects, and are now helping me through menopause. I love their integrative approach and use of supplements before pharmaceuticals. I feel healthier than ever !

Dr. Sayana is so smart it's amazing. She knows how to treat my complicated conditions. The whole office staff are kind, empathetic and efficient. The practice has a perfect blend of conservative medicine and wholistic and naturalpathic medicine.

Dr. Sayana has been my doctor for 7 years. I can’t say enough good things about her. She has made me feel so much better, addressing pain, inflammation, and gastro issues . As a functional medicine doctor, she gets to the cause of your issue and does not give up until it’s found. She always tries another way until you feel better. Supplements have helped me a lot. You don’t take them forever and usually you can get the same ones on Amazon for the same price or a little less. Dr Sayana cares about you as a whole person, including your personal history and emotional well being. I don’t think I can ever go back to a traditional medicine doctor! I feel lucky to have Dr Sayana as my doctor.

Dr. Sayana is a compassionate and patient physician. She is pro active and takes the time to address complex health tests in order to serve her patients well

This place is absolutely the worst. If I could give them zero stars I would. I was looking for a integrative doctor for my daughter who is suffering from a number of issues and when I made the appointment I asked if the practice saw teenagers and they said yes. I checked multiple times to make sure that the practice was in that work with my insurance. They have extensive intake forms, all of which require that you input the patient’s birthdate. We waited for an hour at the office, and then went in and the nurse took her vitals. And then someone came in and said that they did not treat teenagers and that I would have to pay $350 out-of-pocket for an initial visit. This is so incredibly frustrating and disappointing. It took three hours out of my afternoon. This level of incompetence is completely inexcusable.

Dr. Sayana has been my doctor for the last 4+ years since I moved to the Pasadena area. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and very competent. I feel so fortunate that my friend recommended her to me.

I haven’t been to this doctor in 4 years. Dr. Sayana stated she accepted my insurance and co pays. Told me herself I would not be billed anything from her. 4 years later, I get a bill for 105.55. I had brought my elderly mother to her, it turned out the Dr. had no visiting privileges at any hospital. Totally useless for my mother’s several visits and useless to me. Now, after not contacting me for 4 years, she has sent this bill to collection. Slimey business practices and un helpful for real medical conditions.

Don't bother with this place. They're in business to sell supplements, nothing more. They're only interested in you as a "patient" if you keep buying their $400+ worth of supplements a month. They get billing wrong, over charge, then have to refund things often. I came to them with reasonable health questions. They loaded me up with testing, supplements, sold me vitamin IVs, but disregarded the real reason I was there. They stopped service when I stopped buying supplements that didn't help.

Love love love this place! The staff is so helpful! All the doctors and nurses are very caring! Laura, the office manager is off the charts. She is one amazing human being! Serena, you are a gem! So glad my family and I found this place.
