I recently switched doctors because I did not like Dr. Mousa level of care for me. She seemed like she did not care and just wanted to rush through any conversations. She dismissed my symptoms and left me to suffer every single time I was having an issue. One time at urgent care my BP was so high they wanted to send me to the hospital. I refused to go and followed up with Dr. Mousa the same afternoon. Her response was not one of concern, but she instead said go buy a BP cuff and take my own BP. Also, very recently when I had bronchitis, the round of antibiotics she gave me did not cure my cough. I could barely breathe. I asked her to prescribe me another dose of meds and she said, no. She told me to drink hot water with lemon and honey. I couldn't breathe! She didn't care. She also sent me a letter once scolding me for cancelling 2 appointments. One because I had Covid and one because I tore the meniscus in my knee. Find a doctor who actually cares and has some empathy.

I saw Dr. Mousa today for a new patient visit attempting to set up a new primary care physician. She was extremely dismissive to my concerns and told me that she "does not manage Graves' disease" when I asked to have comprehensive lab work done. She told me she was not going to run my lab work because of that reason and it "being too soon". I had to argue with her in order to get my own blood work ran. Mind you, I have been dealing with this autoimmune disorder for nearly a year and have always had to get my labs completed every one to two months because of the severity of my diagnosis. She did not listen to my concerns and completely belittled me. If a primary care provider cannot provide any assistance with the help of an endocrinologist for an autoimmune disorder, they should not be a primary care doctor. I have recently swapped over to Advocate to Northwestern, therefore I need to establish a new PCP and I was hoping that she would be as helpful as my other PCP regarding my autoimmune disorder but Dr. Mousa was the complete opposite. I left the office upset and frustrated as I was completely dismissed.

Dr. Mousa seems very passionate, but she does not listen to what the patient is saying. It would be nice if she would actually slow down and listen before she jumps to conclusions about the patient. It felt like once she decided what the problem was, she didn't need to communicate at all. She might be great as a GP for annual exams, but do not go to her for problems.
