Very Rude
She was rude and cold. Although she is efficient, she is very difficult to communicate with. She was very impatient when trying to ask her questions. She has no concept of bedside manner. Unfortunately there aren't many options I this area.

Disgusted
One of the worst doctors I have ever dealt with. She was cold, rude, non committal, uncaring, entered the examination room and never acknowledged me just started talking quickly about a message I left her 3 months prior. Kept telling me my symptoms were not in her field. I have seen her for CMT which is definitely her field. I went in hopeful and left disgusted. My husband and I looked at each other and had only feelings of anger after leaving. DON’T waste your time with this doctor.

Worst ever
First visit, what a waste of time. Here attitude was unbelievable, failure to listed or attempt to understand. Never again. Should have paid attention to the reviews, but I needed to see someone quickly

Dr. McMahan has been my neurologist for several years and appreciate her and her office staff for all that they do to help me manage my condition. My experience has been positive with her and found her to have a good bed side manner with me. I trust her with my continued care.

As a long-time healthcare professional, I was extremely disappointed in Dr. McMahon's lack of compassion and professionalism during my visit. She barely acknowledged me, dismissed my concerns, and made judgments without asking important questions. I left feeling belittled and unimportant. I have had much better experiences with other neurologists in the past and hope to find a compassionate and understanding doctor in Martin County, one who is up to date with brain injury terminology.

Not welcoming
She was not very welcoming, was short with questions & answers, and seemed agitated! I felt like she was rushed and wanted us out of there soon as possible.

Bedside Manner? None. Interest? Questionable.
Not a good experience. I had one visit with Dr McMahan in Feb, 2023. I never returned for follow up. She rushed into the room, no hello, or intro whatsoever. Her jacket was dingy looking and she didn't seem interested in why I was sent there. Very little talk, few questions and done. Nothing solved, no suggestions. Why return? I left shaking my head. I very rarely leave a negative review, but this doctor warranted it.

Pleasant, efficient and very capable
Dr McMahan has been my neurologist for 8 years. She has always treated me well and taken excellent care of my needs. She is a bit reserved but quite pleasant and very good at what she does.

I called 9 times to remind about a remind the dr about a preauthorization that was needed for the script and the CT scan. I had to wait 3 weeks for the script. My insurance company actually sent it to her to complete. I am now on week 5 for the CT scan. Still waiting.

Accompanied my father who has Parkinson’s to an appointment after he indicated his doctor didn’t listen to him and he didn’t trust her. Dr. McMahan is one of the rudest doctors I have ever met (20+ years in healthcare field). Barely made eye contact, said I don’t know at least 10 times, blew off what my father shared for how he was feeling, and didn’t even physically examine my dad. Offered no plan of care for the progression of his disease and absolutely zero compassion. Took dad to a new Parkinson’s specialist and turns out she was prescribing meds not even appropriate with current management. Doctor said he had not prescribed one med in over 12 years! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone and especially someone with Parkinson’s.

Although she was running late it was worth the wait. She is knowledgeable and thorough. Took her time with us and explained everything. I had read some of the comments and was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. My husband has been to many specialists all over Florida and she seemed to have a diagnosis where others have not.

Horrible Bedside Manner. Kept me waiting for over an hour! And wanted to re-run all the tests that my previous doctor had done. Have to find a new one, mine moved. It will NOT be her!!!

Incredibly smart, kind compassionate care that is hard to find in this area. Spends the time needed with each patient, which must be extremely difficult in this area, as more and more people are rushing around & medical professionals are expected to turn patients over quickly for a profit. She is ETHICAL in her practice & won't harm QUALITY of care.

This young Doctor literally laughed at my primary care doctors referral. And also acted as if she was frustrated that I was taking up too much time 15 minutes into my appointment when she had assumed I was there for something else. Someday I am sure she'll be an excellent Doctor but she need to learn to listen to her patients and not assume she knows everything.
