Dr. Shirley Bembo, MD

Was seeing Dr. Bembo for diabetes. She doesn't listen & tends to push more medication than needed. She is rude and will argue her point, I literally had to tell her to calm down. She started yelling out of control. Very unprofessional. Needless to say, I did not return.

I regret not reading the negative reviews before making an appointment with Dr. Bembo. Indeed, she has atrocious bedside manners with an air of superiority. She had a cold and condescending attitude throughout the whole appointment. Just like other reviewers experienced, she got annoyed and defensive when I pointed out her attitude. In addition, her medical expertise is suspect. When she stated that weight training doesn't improve bone density, that should've been my cue to run, not walk, out of that office! The only positive experience was with the front desk receptionist. She was professional, helpful, and kind. Please advocate for yourself, listen to your gut instinct, and don't settle for less. If a doctor doesn't listen, lacks interest, or is disrespectful, move on and find another doctor.

This woman is a disgrace. Rude and condescending. My 24 yr old son had thyroid cancer and I was treated like garbage. Stay away!

Dr. Bembo is rude, condescending and abrupt. She has no bedside manners. My new endocrinologist gave me totally different advise about my sugar highs and lows. When I tried to tell her about her attitude she became very angry and nasty. I will never return.

Very rude and condescending. Does not know how to speak to patients. Should not be a doctor.

I saw Dr Bembo to get a second opinion regarding my bone density. She did not examine me nor did she ask me any questions about my health. She was very annoyed with the fact that I was having difficulty hearing her and that she had to converse mainly with my husband. And she was very quick to say that I needed to be treated for osteoporosis with a drug that can have serious side effects. I have since seen a rheumatologist who reviewed my medical records, examined me, and discussed my medical history and she advised that am not a candidate for treatment of osteoporosis. She suggest increasing my intake of vitamin D3, increasing my walking and begin using weights to strengthen my upper body. I found Dr Bembo to have no compassion for my hearing difficulties. And she certainly was quick to prescribe medication without a thorough exam.

Promised to call in Tradjenta refill a week ago. Alliance RX didn't get a refill request. Shaking all day. May have to go to Princeton-Plainsboro hopital. Staff doesn't check if refill is filled????

She is condescending but her office staff is the worst

She always answers all my questions.Makes patient feel comfortable.
