Dr. Shiva Ratuapli, MD

After several office appointments, video appointments and a hospital procedure, all with Dr. Ratuapli, I would wholeheartedly recommend this office and, specifically, Dr. Ratuapli for gastroenterologic care. He is kind and patient, listens thoroughly, offers suggestions for treatment options and solicits the patient’s preference for care. I saw a review or two of him which were speaking harshly of him and his office and, for the life of me, I cannot understand why someone could feel that way about him. He does have a bit of a thick accent, but even with my hearing loss I was easily able to understand him. My wife and I found him to be compassionate and thorough. I do not believe any reasonable person would be unhappy with his care. His staff I have had contact with have all been professional and kind, too.

Every single person I interacted with, 6 in all, was friendly, helpful and professional. Best healthcare experience without reservation.

Dr. Ratuapli is very knowledgeable and very thorough. He explains everything so you can understand and he gives you all the information required to make decisions. He was even able to tell me information about my other diagnoses that the other doctors failed to mention.

Being my first colonoscopy, I was a little freaked out. The information provided ahead of time and the explanations from the staff at the time of my appointment helped set me at ease. I had read horror stories about the taste of the laxative. I was prescribed Suprep, and it tasted like a cherry Halls. I still drank it ice cold through a big straw, but it was not terrible. Next, line up some activities you can do on the toilet, because you’ll be spending some quality time there. For the procedure, you’re out so you won’t feel a thing. Just wake up, have your ride pick you up, and take it easy the rest of the day.

He truly cares about his patients. He makes sure you understand the procedure and willingly takes the necessary time with you.

When dealing with a new diagnosis, Dr, Ratuapli explained with words we could understand. He referred us to the necessary specialist while providing an intermediate treatment plan.

Front office girls were very friendly & interacted with patients. Informed us of our wait time. They chatted amongst each other & not about other patients. Which sometimes front office girls do. No one wants to hear that. Both were just so friendly & professional. Once you were called back. All the ladies informed you of what was going to take place next. All of them were very thorough. Felt comfortable. Warm blanket. Privacy given between patients. They had conversations with patients. Just so nice. Dr. Shiva made you feel comfortable. Asked if I had any questions. Very nice & professional. Procedure went exactly as he advised. Had an intern also with him overseeing him. Overall, an excellent experience. So glad I didn’t go elsewhere & it was worth the drive. Twice he has performed a colonoscopy and endoscopy. He had to remove several large polyps in pieces. He got every piece. He is quiet and extremely professional.
