Your Healthgrades Dr V has been treating me for over 3 years. For me she is what the doctor ordered. She is well qualified, committed and CARES and does not capitulate to my sorry excuses for not following her instructions. I feel Dr V is committed to getting me well and I eventually found myself staying on track not to disappoint her. Otherwise I always found a way to approve myself to cheat. Dr V always gives me the time I need and I never feel rushed. She knows who I am, my history and our previous discussions before she comes in the room. The portal is a great way to communicate with Dr V and her assistant Angie - great team. Their responses come quickly and are clear. I highly recommend Dr V. for anyone serious about living a better life with a not so good heart.

She has always been there for me and stays on top of any new symptoms I may have. She listens always. Dr. Velamakanni listens carefully to patient concerns and descriptions of their condition in addition to reports about their daily activities as a way to gain insight into lifestyle issues which need to be addressed by the patient. her insight into the wide range of conditions that can affect patient health are used and formulating her recommendations and treatment plan. Dr. V is a careful and compassionate listener who is very patient focused in her approach to cardiology.

Dr V had been treating me for over two years. I am troubled when I read reviews that say she is hard and doesn't listen. I believe those who think that are misunderstanding her or don't want to hear what she is saying. She is well qualified and CARES about her patients and appears to practice her own advice. I have lost nearly 16 lbs and have changed the way I eat, drink and exercise because she didn't capitulate to my self serving excuses. She told me what I needed to hear. Her staff is responsive every time I send a message via the portal, which by the way, Dr V encourages me to do. Dr V always makes sure that she has answered every question before she leaves the room. Many of us wouldn't be seeing her or any cardiologist if our previous Dr's put the pressure on us to follow the advice she gives. If you are looking for a massage go to a masseuse. If you have heart problems Dr V is the best. I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so.

She became my Dr as I was a patient at NCH. Very professional as well as listening and caring for my needs. I have since had two office visits. Very caring.

Dr V is a hard lady, she will argue with you and shut you down. So I prepare myself before my appointment JUST knowing it will be a tough 1/2 hour. But I am comfortable with her hard shell because she has been excellent at keeping my heart issues under control.

Dr Velamakani is kind, caring, and extremely knowledgable. She is very easy to talk to and listens well.

I was sent to her via a referral. She was the most nasty female doctor whom I have ever encountered. Short, curt, annoyed by questions. Worst? She entered falsehoods into my medical records, which remain. Maybe she was having a bad day. I would never return.

Dr. Velamakanni is a 5 star docto. She is been my heart doctor for almos 10 years, she is amazing. She has show me multiple times that she actually care about me and my health. I stopped seeing her for 2 years and when I came back she remembered every single detail of what I share with her, how many miles I used to run what diet I was following, things that no one writes on a patient record. She is a blessing and has help me with every single step of my process. I would recommend her hands down!

Dr Velamakanni has been my cardiologist for quite a few years and I’ll never change! She First Class! She’s very knowledgeable in her field, and takes the time to reassure and go over anything that I don’t understand. She explains test results so I know exactly what’s going on, clarifies medications and is willing to discuss changes if I have any problems. I have learned so many simple things I can do to improve my life, and I feel so much better, have more energy, and a more positive outlook without all the fears I had before. Her nurse Bonnie, is excellent, she’s very kind, she’s thorough, she returns calls quickly and it’s obvious that she loves what she does. She’s bright and caring and goes out of her way to get to the bottom of things and get answers. These two are quite a team and I’d highly recommend them to anyone, with flying colors!!! We love Dr V and Bonnie!
