Dr. Shruti Murali, MD

Dr Murali recently replaced the oncologist I have seen for 13 years after his retirement. So far I’ve been impressed with her knowledge of my history and how thorough she has been with new issues that came up.

She is an excellent doctor who I highly recommend

Caring took time to hear my concerns

Clearly competent, professional and personable. Excellent communicator. Listened to my explanation of symptoms and together we came up with a plan best suited to my needs.

Dr. Murali came to the exam with an excellent overview of medical records. She listened to my concerns and explained her perspective of my situation clearly and assuredly. I am confident that my condition is in excellent hands.

I visited her for the first time for her opinion on low levels of iron in my blood, noted in the last two blood tests. Unlike many doctors, who do not even go through even the essential patient history, this doctor seems to have looked at it thoroughly. Her initial diagnosis was very much like my son's, who is the Chief Medical Officer in a major hospital in Chicago. She said, the iron level seems OK and not to worry about. There could be several simple reasons. At the same time she was cautious and recommended further confirmation through another blood test which she ordered. She further answered my question confidently and said the loss of iron is not due to the diuretic but possibly due to Omiprozol I take ( that means she went through all my medications, you see) for acidity.

The way the office is efficient in the way the visit was handled

I’m very comfortable to discuss my concerns and make me feel ease around her.

The waiting room made a good first impression because it was a large, open & contemporary space. The wait was too long. No one was aware my vitals hadn't been taken. I had to get the attention of the front desk. That got things moving. Dr. Murali was pleasant and professional. She asked questions & listened well. It was nice meeting her.

Had my first appointment with Dr Murali. She seems efficient, caring and knowledgeable. Recommend her.

I think Dr. Murali is a great doctor. She is warm and compassionate. She really listens to her patients and tries to come up with the best diagnosis. I have a particularly challenging illness to diagnosis and after unsuccessfully being shuffled from specialist to specialist, Dr. Murali figured out what was happening even though it was outside her field.The reason I didn't giver her 5 stars is that her office staff is not great. There have been multiple problems from communications that went unanswered to appointments that the office canceled without contacting me, much less rescheduling. I still believe Dr. Murali is an excellent doctor and would trust her medical advice, it is everything else that makes long-term care with her unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming.

On schedule and went fine. She listens and responds, she discusses those things that might need a bit of discussion .

Dr. Murali had reviewed all the tests and was very thorough with her evaluation and recommendation. She took the time to explain everything and answer all questions. I felt comfortable and reassured after the visit.

I was given plenty of time to discuss my issues and questions. The doctor was patient and understanding. I'm looking forward to my next appt to discuss my lab results.

She was so kind and informed details. She respected her patient.
