Dr. Silvia Romero, MD

Through our 6 year relationship her incredible knowledge and kindness has always been a constant. I am cancer free and that is thanks to her and her staff. It has been my honor to have had her as my doctor.

The nurse practitioner I think before I saw my doctor that came in the room before her I have to say is very efficient. I would give her a 12. I don`t know her name but she was fantastic--a young woman. I think she is still in school. Fantastic and she knows her job well. Thank you.

They make the experience very positive for a patient.

Dr. Romero is super, she`s very intelligent and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in her services. She`s absolutely super. She cannot be beat.

Dr Romero lays out the plan of your cancer treatment…she is there treating you as a patient and a person. Always takes time for you to speak asking questions and getting answers ..When I had a test and had anxiety Dr. Romero gave me her cell phone number..I could call her for results…She has just discharged me after 9 years of care…I feel she saved my life..I’m feeling great ..I thank Dr.Romero for her care and compassion…

This dr has no morals. She is giving chemo to my mother who can barely walk and is completely bowel incontanent. It is so clear that she has days or weeks to live and continues to pressure her into chemo. She refuses to talk to me without my mother present. I left a message explaining that she will take chemo as long as Romero recommends it. I am trying to convince her to do hospice but she will not go against the dr recommendation. I spoke to a hospice worker who worked there for a few months and quit on moral grounds saying “I’ve seen what they do TO people and left on moral grounds”, “they will never stoop giving chemo, they will give chemo to a corpse”. I have no idea how she is if you are seeking a cure because my mother was terminally diagnosed from the start. I really hate this women. I could go on for pages.

I have been visiting Dr. Romero's office every six months for the last five years. This week was my last appointment. I have always met with Dr. Romero's LPN, Jenna. She was always delightful, thorough and always gave me an excellent exam. This week, I met Yanet, pronounced "Janet". She is in training and was also extremely delightful, thorough and gave me an excellent exam. Dr. Romero went over all my paperwork and told me that if I had any questions or concerns that I was to call her office for advice and/or an appointment. Once a patient, always a patient. As I went to the Check-out, Clarandy was the check-out person. What a delightful young man and his personality was so friendly and personable, I felt like he could have been my son. :) I strongly recommend Dr. Romero and the Florida Cancer Specialists on 8931 Colonial Center Drive Suite 300, in Ft. Myers. My cancer surgeon was Dr. Rie Aihara, located at Florida Cancer Specialists. Excellent and above all others! Lynn C.

Dr. Romero is an exceptional doctor. At the onset of my breast cancer diagnosis, she spent all the time we could hope for explaining details of the disease and potential treatment paths. My husband and I have never had a doctor make us feel more cared for and welcomed to ask questions. We never felt hurried or rushed. Her PA was also incredible. I highly recommend Dr. Romero, she is a very special person who cares deeply for her patients and their emotional well being along with their physical.

She made us feel like just another box she had to check. No compassion. Her office mocked my father when he wanted to seek a second opinion, they went as far ask to laugh at my father suffering from stage 4 lung cancer and ask him “if he found his miracle chemo he was searching for?”. The lack of compassion and human decency is sad....utterly sad

Dr. Romero started treating my mother in May of 2010. This doctor saved my mother life. My mother was 69 at the time. Since being in Dr.Romero care she had surgery and wonderful treatment. She is kind, helpful and willing to go above and beyond. We could not have asked for a better Doctor. My mother now 75 still is in her care.

I haven't had the chance to write a review on my Dr. Silvia Romero and all the wonderful things I have had the chance to experience with this Dr. I want to say first and far most I have never met a more caring and wonderful Dr. I was scared to death of going thru cancer. I had just been told that I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage 2. WOW!!!!!! Dr. Romero was amazing and soon had my fears addressed and I knew at that moment I had chose the best Dr. to walk me thru my journey . Thank you God !!!!!

Dr. Romero is kind, compassionate, and patient. She always takes the time to answer my questions, as well as my family's questions. She encourages me to call the office in between appointments with any questions or concerns. I feel very comfortable having Dr. Romero as my oncologist and would highly recommend her.
