He’s good, But I was prescribed dangerous meds
I saw Dr. Olstein for years and, honestly, he is a good guy, is really good as a suboxone doc, and turned me on to meditation, something I love now! Unfortunately, because of the kind of specialist he is, he refused to help me with my panic attacks and severe anxiety, because he doesn’t believe in combing the two meds. I get why this was his rule, but I threatened to commit suicide via text with no memory of doing so based on Gabbapentin. He put my on other meds which had similar effects. If I didn’t have an anxiety disorder (a real one—not just stress), Olstein would’ve gotten a 5 star rating from me, because those dangerous side effects never would have happened.

TERRIBLE - Dr. Olstein took my $200 co-pay, THEN he informs me that I would have to take on-site classes every week and pay $100 out-of-pocket if I wanted to be seen there. About an hour later as I was considering how to afford this, I get a call saying "Dr. Olstein doesn't think that you will fit in." Basically, " f*** you, go somewhere else you pauper." It was a brilliant con, great job, thanks a lot. From what I saw of the office, this guy is very wealthy. Big surprise.

Most amazing caring Doctor I have ever had. He knows my family. He clearly cares because he left Heart Surgery to be an addiction Doctor. I never asked, but it has to be close to his heart. No pun Intended. He is a rock star when it comes to just general medical knowledge.
