Tremendous Vascular Surgeon
I was admitted to UCI - Lakewood CA, in early December...I was initially seen by the Emergency Room doctor, then a Neurologist, and then the Hospitalist; all of which indicated they found no brain issues that could be responsible for my difficulty walking coordination issue...finally, a Radiologist found an 80% blocked carotid artery...Dr. Golestaneh, the Hospitalist, arrived with a Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Rayhanabad...the issue was not IF I would have a stroke, but WHEN...I was given two choices: 1 - Stay in the hospital and have the surgery completed or 2 - Go home and have the procedure done on an outpatient basis...both doctors urged me to have it done in the hospital, since with my degree of blockage, something could happen, at any time...fortunately, I deferred to their accumulated wisdom, had the procedure completed on 12-8, and came home on 12-9...now, the dietary changes need to be made, which just might be more difficult than the excellent surgery

Rude front office
Front office staff should have a negative rating! Older woman with the red eyebrows was so unprofessional and rude. I was never advised to bring in the authorization with me the day of the visit for my grandmother who is already in pain and in a wheelchair. I asked for options since I had a photo of the authorization - emailing to either her or the office manager Ilene or Irene. I was told NO ONE there has email or email access. Are you kidding??? How does the staff not have email access? I know the staff can log onto the medical group site and print the authorization for them. I asked for the office manager and was told she couldn’t be disturbed. The appointments were behind 40mins. What kind of medical office is this? This is seriously ridiculous that an office still runs this way. A grievance will be filed with the insurance because this office is a joke.

He was my surgeon who did my right subclavian artery bypass last April 2, 1996 at longbeach memorial hospital. He is monitoring me for my Takayasu Arteritis since then up to the present. He is an excellent Surgeon. He check and explain to me in details of what would be the problem in my health and give you a thorough check and tests then give you advise and evaluations of what he is planning. He is very caring & concern to his patients. He will do his best to treat you and feel you comfortable.
