I went here for red eye. I woke up with painful eye and I was very anxious because my mom has multiple eye issues. They were able to accommodate me right away! I really liked the office at madison heights. Dr. Albear is very professional and explained everything. I had inflammation in my eye. He was worried about an autoimmune condition and asked me a bunch of questions and ordered some labs. turned out I had another medical issue that caused the eye inflammation. I saw a rheumatologist after and they both are working on controlling my inflammation. I feel much better after a few weeks.

As a healthcare professional myself, I can confidently say this doctor is absolutely outstanding. I had been struggling with dry eye issues for quite some time and had seen several ophthalmologists without finding a solution. During my visit, he conducted a thorough eye exam, took the time to understand my history, and identified the root cause of the problem. His treatment plan has been a game-changer, focusing not only on medications but also on essential lifestyle modifications. He also has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to explain everything in detail. Thanks to his care, I can now go through most of my day without the pain I used to experience. Truly an exceptional physician!

Dr. albear has been amazing through my journey treating my glaucoma. He takes the time to explain everything to you. He makes sure all your questions are answered and you do not leave the exam chair wondering what is going on like most of the doctors I have seen!

Dr. Albear is an amazing doctor! He’s a really caring person, and it’s sad that he’s leaving. My insurance was giving me a hard time about getting the treatment I needed, but Dr. Albear took his lunch break to call them and spent almost two hours arguing with them while I was in the exam chair. I had a serious infection that could have made me lose my vision, but they didn’t want to give me the medicine I needed. Dr. Albear made sure to see me almost every day, scheduling my appointments at the end of his clinic hours so he could spend extra time taking care of me. Even though my insurance didn’t pay him much, he didn’t care about that—he just wanted to help me get better. Now my vision is fine, and the infection is gone. I’m really sad to see him leave California, but I hope he has good luck wherever he goes.

I had an eye emergency. I walked in to the office as Dr. Albear had just left the clinic. The staff called him and he turned right back to examine me and provided me with treatment. I am so grateful for his care. I saw him one more time after and the condition has resolved with the treatment he provided. very caring person.

I recently underwent my second cataract surgery. It's been about a week since the procedure with Dr. Albear, and my vision is excellent. I opted for one of those advanced lenses, and I'm extremely satisfied with my choice. I wouldn't have it any other way. I wouldn't entrust my eyes to any ophthalmologist other than Dr. Albear. He is also a great person with a reassuring sense of humor.

This review is long overdue, I can't thank Dr. Albear enough for what he did for me. I was just there for a regular check-up, but he noticed something strange with the way I blinked in my right eye after 10 to 20 seconds of being in the room. He didn't waste any time and started asking me lots of questions and did a thorough exam, not just of my eyes, but my whole head and even had me walk to check my balance. He got really concerned and insisted that I go to the emergency room.I was hesitant at first because I didn't want to spend the day at the hospital, but he was so insistent that I went. Turns out, they found a serious problem in my brain blood vessel that was about to burst. I had surgery the next morning with other neurosurgeons, and I'm here today because of Dr. Albear's quick thinking and care. He and my neurosurgeon are like my guardian angels, and I'll be forever grateful for their help.

seen a few ophthalmology doctors before I saw doctor Albear and they did not know what is going on with me!!! Saw Dr. Albear a few weeks ago, he immediately had a suspicion for a rare disease after he examined and talked to me, ordered some blood work. After results, I am getting treatment and my eyes actually feel better for the first time in a while.

incredible eye doctor! I went for a regular eye checkup, and he really took his time to make sure everything was ok. He patiently addressed all my questions. I was so impressed that I also brought my parents to see him. He's not only super friendly but also really knows his stuff.

I saw Dr. Albear for cataracts. He took time to explain the condition and what to expect if I wanted to undergo surgery. I was hesitant about doing any surgeries although my vision was bad. I went for a second opinion with another doctor then I decided to return to Dr. Albear for surgery. He guided me through the process and the results were great. My vision recovered fast and I did not have any issues. Things are very clear. I decided to do the surgery with laser and I couldnt be happier with that decision. Definitively recommend him for anyone who needs cataract surgery.

I used to see Dr. Albear before he moved to another state, and oh, how I miss his treatment. Every time I visit the hospital where he used to see me, I ask about him, and people have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He used to treat me for macular degeneration with injections, and he took excellent care of me. He always explained everything clearly and made sure I understood and was involved in my own care. He truly went above and beyond. Before he left the hospital, he performed cataract surgeries on both my eyes, and I am forever grateful for his exceptional skills and his caring bedside manner.

I saw Dr. Albear for my cataract surgery and he did the surgery with laser and used a lens called Panoptix. I am very happy with the results. I have not needed to use glasses after the surgery. Vision is so clear and colors are very vivid.
