Dr. Siva Venkata, MD

Dr Venkata has literally added years to my life. Took me from a hopeless heart failure case to someone who now has a chance to live a normal life. He took a chance on a high risk patient and I am forever grateful for his intelligence and skill....and his team.

I am writing this on behalf of my father and our experience with Dr. Venkata. My dad was very nervous and apprehensive before his open heart surgery (bypass surgery), but Dr. Venkata took the time to thoroughly explain as well as answer all our questions. He is very kind and compassionate, and even though he must see cases like this all the time, he didn't treat us as 'just another case.' We had some troubles with insurance and he was more than willing to change the date of the surgery to accommodate even though it was really last minute and inconvenient for him. The surgery itself could not have gone any better, and instead of us just calling us to update us after the surgery was done, he personally came to meet us. Even after surgery, he made sure to check in on my dad everyday to see how he was feeling and this meant a lot. We are so grateful for Dr. Venkata and would highly recommend him for anyone needing any type of cardiac surgery.

You don't have to go to Pittsburgh to find one of the best surgeons. In February 2021, I had my mitral value repaired by this amazing surgeon. He informed me before the surgery and was with me and the other patient he had operated on in the CTICU everyday. He has great bedside manners. Cares for his patients. He is a all around good person and he made me feel at ease during one of the scariest times of my life. I appreciate everything that he has done for me.

Posting this review for my father. My dad had open heart surgery back in February. Dr. Venkata was an amazing surgeon! He thoroughly explained everything to my dad and to the family. Highly recommend this surgeon. He truly saved my dad’s life. He constantly checked in with him after the surgery to make sure he was doing ok. Amazing skill and good bed side manner. Thank you for taking great care of my dad!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Venkata. He came and spoke with me prior to my father’s bypass surgery. He then came down after and escorted me to the icu room. I wasn’t allowed to stay due to COVID-19, but Dr. Venkata took my cell number and called me at home with updates. He is an amazing surgeon; I am thankful for him every day! Would absolutely recommend!!

This is the kind of surgeon you want if you need heart surgery. He performed my 81-year-old mother's heart valve surgery, and we saw him morning, noon, and night - several times a day. He answered our questions, spoke loud enough that my mother could hear him when she was still out of sorts, and spoke to us, too. The ICU nursing staff think he's wonderful as well, and he's known for quizzing them and allowing them to see a procedure in action. So trustworthy; we feel very lucky to have had him.

Dr Venkata is the most competent, caring, considerate and kind Dr. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. He reminds you of how Drs used to be many many years ago. How many surgeons will take the time to call you not once but several times to see how you are doing after being discharged? He is an amazing man and Dr. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing cardiac surgery. In my opinion, he is the best. I would trust him with my life......and I did. He's the best.

Dr.Patimalla is always at his office or at the hospital. I saw him a minimum of twice daily while I was in the hospital. Had a triple bypass and had no surprises. Dr. patimalla always kept me informed and answered all my questions. Very caring and professional. Had no problem trusting hi with everything.
