I trusted Doctor Nigar based on previous reviews from WestMed to preform my upper endoscopy. She was very kind at bedside during office visit however, once my endoscopy was over it became incredibly difficult to understand my diagnosis. I would call her office to try and understand if she could explain what my treatment plan was and what happened was her physician assistant would leave messages on my portal such as this "take nexium twice daily" without any additional information about what was going. I ended up switching medication three times to find the right one through my general physician. I tried calling again for follow up once I started medication to see how long it would have to be when I called I found out she had no idea when I started taking or how long I had already been taking it which was extremely concerning. This is truly a poor example of patient care and treatment follow up so disappointed in the level of care my general physician suggested leaving her which I did.

Dr Nigar is very thorough in her approach, she is caring , goes the extra mile to make sure I got the best treatment, sometimes even when it’s not part of her field she made sure I was taken care of . She reviewed my whole history and found things that other doctors had missed.

The doctor was totally unresponsive after some concerning results from some bloodwork. Never even came came into the exam room to explain what she was looking for. Never to be heard from again!

She was the only gastro doctor who looked at my history of fatty liver, obesity and type 11 diabetes. She immediately sent me to a liver transplant specialist who found out that I had level 4 of 8 non alcoholic liver cirrhosis. I went for bariatric surgery and lost my excess weight to try to prevent cancer or the necessity of a liver transplant. I trust her with my life. She is brilliant and caring.
