Dr. Sofya Kostanyan, MD

Dr. Kostanyan took care of my mother after she suffered a stroke. She would check up on her several times a day, guided us through the next steps and assisted us to get my mom into the hospital rehabilitation center. Can’t say enough great things about her

She has no empathy or kindness whatsoever. You are viewed as a diagnostic code not a human being. Avoid at all costs.

She’s nasty uncaring cold as ice I felt warmer standing next to an iceberg this woman shouldn’t be practicing Medicine she had me waitingo nearly 9 days for my mammogram I had lump she’s was such a cold hearted and useless knowing how scared and upset I was she didn’t even care to go try to retrieve them.Stay away from this doctor she’s uncaring and I shouldn’t give any star to this poor excuse of a human being.I saw this woman at Methodist I had her changed to another doctor

This physician is driven by ego. She does not value patient input, especially when it's intelligent and evidence-based. If the patient is intelligent and understand her or his body and ailment, you're in trouble. She doesn't like to be challenged. She will go as far as to start a case against you and order a psyche evaluation - there must be something wrong with you that you dare to question her 'vast' knowledge. She's not worth pursuing as your physician - unless you nod without question.

Called office on 3/24 for Adult Nutrition program and after stating my insurance, phone person stated it's a very busy office and then you need to change your insurance! That's the policy of NYM Hospital! I have been with both my PCP/cardio & end for more than 5 years & I go to Planet Fitness 4 days per week for 3 hours. I was directed to Dr Sofya Kostanyan and again told ...it's a very busy office next appt in June. Sorry but I doubt her E76 St have a lengthy wait for new appt.
