Dismissive and unhelpful with migraine treatment
I recently had a visit with Dr. De Jesus for an increase in migraines and wanting to change my medication as I was having undesirable side effects. I felt she did not listen to my complaints and discomfort dismissing that I would like to change my treatment plan and to continue on a medication I wanted to get off. I was eventually able to get approval and get off the medication to start a new one. However, I had to message several times after the appointment to get instructions on how to wean off and start the new one. Again I felt dismissed and not listened too. I have never felt with this with any other doctor. Most other doctors in the same office offered to take me off the medication at any point since it is know to have some severe side effects that can get worse over time. I felt small and dismissed during this entire experience. I do not wish to seen Dr. De Jesus again.

At my most recent visit with Dr. De Jesus, she was able to clarify my diagnosis from Multiple System Atrophy to Atypical Parkinsonism. With that more precise diagnosis, I have been able to follow a more precise treatment plan which has given me more and better control of my symptoms. I appreciate that increased control and the increased hopefulness that has come with it.

Dr DeJesus is the most caring physician I have ever met. She is very thorough as well as knowledgeable in her field. She listens and answers all questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing a movement disorder like Parkinsons.
