Dr Mora is missed so very much!
I miss Dr Mora more than I can express. He truly cared and knew what he was doing. I saw him in two different practices. I was so happy to hear a Dr in my area had specialized in Chiari Malformation. He didn’t see children, but agreed to see my son 1x when I explained I only wanted his expert opinion if he inherited my Chiari since I didn’t feel the neurologists my son saw were experienced in it. They claimed he didn’t have it and right after the mri films showed on his screen, Dr Mora said he did have it. Dr Mora later caught a pituitary hemorrhage I had that the radiologist didn’t. He was upset that the mistake was made because I was his patient and he actually cared. He helped more than most Drs would. While I love my current neurologist and feel he is a lot like Dr Mora, which is rare, I cannot put in words what a loss it has since Dr Mora left. He specialized in something that I have that is very difficult to find in my area and he was amazing in all the ways that counts.

I concur with the other reviewer, that moving Dr. Mora into the ER was a huge loss to his patients. Especially those who suffer every day from a Chiari Malformation. Dr. Mora is the ONLY doctor I have found, that truly understands what patients with this disorder go through every day. So many of us were devastated to learn at our appointment, that he was moved to the ER. Dr. Mora was a physician at the Chiari Institute, therefore his knowledge was priceless for patients. The first doctor I was placed with said, "Dr. Mora is no longer here. You had surgery for your Chiari, so you are fine." Ignorant so say the least and extremely hurtful. As there is no "cure" for Chiari. We all miss Dr. Mora and truly wish he would return to the practice. Or at least send Caremount neurologists to the Conquer Chiari Research Center in Ohio, to actually learn about this disorder. So they may have empathy and treat Chiari patients correctly.
