Exceptionally poor clinician. No interest in listening to my symptoms and less interest in reviewing results of tests he ordered. Realized his deficit in neurological knowledge when he disagreed with a TJU otolaryngologist’s findings regarding lack of inner ear disease and decided I had Ménière’s disease on his own, and also decided I had sustained a stroke rather than a traumatic brain injury in a MVA at age seven. I am now being treated for a form of Parkinsonism by a Motion Disorder Specialist at an academic facility.

Disinterested
Ignored in past medical history, doesn’t know difference between traumatic brain injury and stroke, doesn’t review test results, unable to listen to patient’s responses, fills in the blank with regard to conducting review of symptoms.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Basangua Feb 2020. Nothing he prescribed helped my neuropathy. I reached out to him numerous times for help. He was of no help to me. I’m currently seeing another Neurologist nearby.

The front office staff was extremely professional, kind, and helpful. Dr. Bisangwa was very professional, and approachable. He is very thorough, and makes sure you understand the different approaches, and options as far as treatment and prevention go. He makes you feel included in your plan of care, and listens to your concerns as well as addresses them. Instead of just telling you exactly what he wants you to do he makes sure you discuss it and inform him of what you’re looking for and keeps autonomy to yourself as a patient. Very happy to be seeing him!

I spoke to the office 3 times and every time they were very friendly, patient and helpful. My Televisit with Dr Bisangwa went very well. He was clear in explaining what he wanted to do, wanted to try a more natural approach with vitamins before trying pharmaceuticals. He was very through in explaining the tests and lab work he wanted to have done and what he was looking for. He addressed me as whole person, listened to what I had to say and did not rush the visit. I am so very pleased with Dr Bisangwa and with my entire experience.
