She is excellent in every sense of the word. She listens to her patients, ensures that decision-making is a joint process, and very clearly explains the plan of care. Great Patient Experience
Dr. Hammoud is great doctor. Her bedside manner and her ability to listen allows her to manage pain effectively and to properly treat the issue. Her surgical skills is why I still can use my shoulder.

The Best!
I had the pleasure of having Dr. Hammoud work her magic on my shoulder following a traumatic injury. The care and expertise her and her team have been proving post-op is second to none, and I would recommend her to anyone, any day. She rocks!

If this is medicine, we're in for horrific results
I have an intentionally misdiagnosed ACL injury by this individual. Falsified medical records and then seemingly deleted them (but I have the originals). She seems very concerned with BMIs. If you're not within a certain range in her opinion, you shouldn't get medical care. (I was a former collegiate swimmer, have run marathons in less than 4 hours, and took up rowing at 40. Never bothered to ask me about any of this.)

Great Experience
This was my 3rd surgery with Dr. Hammoud and she is always great at explaining everything and making sure all of your concerns are addressed. I appreciate her honestly and knowledge when taking care of my injuries

Excellent surgeon!!!!
She is compassionate, caring and confident!!! My livelihood depended on the outcome of my surgery and her excellent surgical skills had me back to work and better than ever !!!! I can’t express how grateful I am to her. The staff is also excellent!!! Got back to me in a very timely manner…. Whether I had called or reached out through the portal.

Very confident and knowledgeable
I came to rothman with a torn ACL and miniscus. Dr. Hammoud was assigned to me and I’m very grateful for that. She is very confident and knowledgeable. I have a surgery scheduled with her soon and I’m very excited to get this done. I feel confident because they do !

Dr. Hammoud
I tore my left ACL from skiing. I had ACL reconstruction by Dr. Hammoud 4 weeks ago. My entire experience has been nothing but positive. My incision looks great. Dr. Hammoud explained the surgery thoroughly and is very knowledgeable. I have never had surgery before and she put my mind at ease. She is a phenomenal surgeon!

Highly recommended
I saw Dr. Sommer Hammoud at Rothman Institute in 2019 for a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. She was very friendly and professional from the first visit all the way through the final follow up visit. She performed the surgery and the repairs were flawless. Since then I have resumed previous activities including long distance backpacking without any weakness or pain. If you are looking for a surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Hammoud. You will be happy you did.

Dr Hammond.
I read Dr Hammouds Bio and new this was the Doctor for me. She is very professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I will always go to her for all my orthopedic issues. I felt extremely comfortable with her taking care of me. I have told my family and friends about her, even strangers that I’ve met. Dr Hammoud has awesome bedside manners.
