I found Dr. Abuzakhm to be kind, caring , professional but easy to talk to, quick to answer questions in an understandable way, knowledgeable, I could go on and on. As a recent mastectomy patient I came hoping I would not need chemotherapy because of my age (86). She was prepared with charts and statistics to help me understand that chemo was appropriate for younger women but at my age there was only a small improvement in 5 yr. survival rate and side effects would almost certainly cause damage to other internal organs. Of course that was exactly what I wanted to hear and I apologized for all the time she spent preparing. She said she prepared for herself because she wanted to be absolutely sure she was recommending the right course of action. I will continue to see her and could not have been more pleased!

Nearly died due to toxicity of chemotherapy prescribed - now living with chemo induced neuropathy and PTSD. This oncologist could care less.
