Felt quickly written off
I saw her for a routine pap at my pcp's office. She has access to all of my records there. I told her about some menstrual changes I've had recently after starting a new med, and she explained why these aren't a cause for concern. I believed her on that. Then she said I'm very likely diabetic and should lose weight to help my periods. I told her I recently had blood work to check that and had no issues (which she could see!). She didn't seem to believe me on that, and I felt like she just judged my health based on only my weight. I had initially wanted to ask more questions about some other issues, but I didn't feel comfortable receiving any treatment from her. I cried when I got home. Not the best way to feel about a routine checkup.

Rushed, no bedside manner
I don’t need coddled at all, I almost never bring up any concerns at appointments because I know they are busy. Haven’t had my period in about 5 months, not pregnant-several hormonal symptoms. Ideally looking for some sort of work up. I expressed why I came off birth control and she told me I didn’t really have any other options-I needed it-and also that it was my weight causing my periods. I was told in the past I have PCOS, very sensitive about my weight right now, and she told me if I just cut carbs maybe then I’d get a period. Which of course every woman since the dawn of time has been doing, along with exercise. We go to doctors when it doesn’t work and we’re frustrated. Talked down to me. Very rushed. I’m a physician assistant and understand medical things, also I know when patients aren’t being listened to. She was not listening at all. Cried when she left. I know there is more to work up here and I’ll get charged $100 for nothing.

She was very nice and informative.
Today was my first visit with her at WHS OBGYN. I looked her up online beforehand and was concerned for my visit because of others previous reviews. But truly she was very nice, I feel like she took her time with me and made sure all my questions were answered, and did a great job. I would be very happy to see her again!

Previous time wasted
My 1st appointment with Dr. Panesar was for a miscarriage follow up. I received no compassion or helpfulness of any kind. She abruptly spouted that she has no idea what caused my miscarriage ( though gave her opinion that I'm older for pregnancy...not every mom has to be a teen!) and that she can do nothing to prevent another. A year of precious time and eggs were wasted until a nurse practitioner at my PCP office agreed to order blood work. My progesterone levels were extremely low...something Dr. Panesar could have tested for and treated when I came to her for help and left disappointed. I would not recommend this Dr. for such a delicate matter or such a personal experience as childbirth.

Last year was my first appointment with Dr. Panesar. Since it was my first time ever meeting her I attributed the somewhat distant mannerisms due to her being busy and not knowing me. Since then I had a second appointment and I was pleasantly surprised by the willingness to discuss any concerns and questions I had about my health. I felt she was very informative and very easy to talk with and she explained my many questions with a straight forward answer. I would not hesitate to go to her with any problem I might have in the future.

She delivered my baby. She’s a no nonsense kind of doctor. She tells you exactly how it is. It was calming for me as a first time mom. She doesn’t have the greatest bed side manners, but like I said. No nonsense!
